How to profit from The Bible

The Bible is God’s tool for building His Saints. It must not be approached as an ordinary book.

The Bible is a spiritual book that can only be understood by spiritual men.

THE REVEALER OF TRUTH

But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [complete truth]. For He will not speak on His initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future].” John 16:13 (AMP).

The mysteries in the scriptures are subtly hidden from the knowledge of a carnal man. It takes the revelation of the Holy Spirit to unveil that which is hidden in God’s Word.

Anyone can read the Bible and to an extent, understand its message. But to be able to relate with the scripture and profit from its richness, we need the help of the Holy Spirit.

APPROACH TO STUDYING THE BIBLE

1. Meekness:

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which can save your souls.” James 1:21.

In order to be properly taught by The Word, the Saint must be ready to let go of his/her preconceptions and previous mind-set. He must come to God’s Word with an open heart, willing to accept its reproof and obey its instruction.

The Saint must approach the word as a student approaches his teacher. He must acknowledge that he knows nothing and he is capable of knowing nothing outside what The Spirit of Truth teaches him.

2. Consistency:

Spiritual Growth happens not in the quantity of time we spend in God’s Word alone, but also in how consistent we are in studying God’s word.

The Saint must not be lazy and sluggish in his approach to the Bible. It must be a daily habit and necessity. It must be cherished like the material food and must be mused on morning, noon and night.

Psalms 1:2: “….. on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.”

If the hardest of mathematical equations and formulas written by men cannot be fully understood in inconsistent and unserious studying, how much more a book written from the inspiration of God?

The Saint who will profit from the Word must be habitual student of it. He must be willing to devote at least an hour of the day and night to studying the scriptures.

MEDITATE ON IT

Source: Crosswalk

In order to apprehend the knowledge of The Divine, our minds must be conditioned into silent meditation.

It is in meditation that illumination is received. This great principle remains the secret of the wisest of men who have received the revelation of Christ.

In meditation, we ponder upon what we see in God’s word; we make it ours – we personalise it and apply it to our lives. Knowledge is processed from mental knowledge into conviction through meditation.

Meditation gives us insight into a knowledge. It opens us to a practical and real experience of Truth.

Meditate on God’s promises towards you. Ponder on His instructions;. Meditate on His wondrous works recorded in scriptures. The more you do this, the more God’s word becomes real to you.

PRAY-READ THE SCRIPTURES

Accompany your study of God’s word with prayers. Prayer deepens our understanding of the word and solidifies our faith to expect what the Word has promised us.

There are promises we come across in scriptures that we are to pray about and declare over our lives. When you come across such while studying God’s word, do not hesitate to instantly begin to declare it over your life and your family.

Conclusively, ensure you study your Bible with a pen and jotter, and desire to practice everything you’re learning from the scripture.

LIVE ABOVE THE ORDINARY!

Life is full of challenges one must overcome and mountains one must climb if one desires lasting success.

But one has a choice not to face these oppositions. You could choose to settle for less, it’s a choice; but a man who truly wants to live a life that surpasses the ordinary must be ready to face challenges and climb the highest of life’s mountains.

In 1 Samuel 17, David had the choice to take His mind off Goliath. He could ignore the blasphemy of Goliath, serve food as his father had instructed and run back home. Besides, he was not a soldier and killing Goliath was none of his business; but he chose to stay.

In trying to picture Goliath’s physique through the Bible’s description of him, one would discover that it’s almost impossible for even the biggest man of our days to defeat a man with such size – Goliath was beyond intimidating.

Yet, David saw his victory in God. He so believed in God that he preferred the five stones to the huge armour the King, Saul, gave to him.

The end of the story is why David is celebrated till date.

If David had not risen to face and conquer this challenge, no one would have blamed him but it might have cost Israel their freedom.

To live above the ordinary, you must be ready to cross mighty hurdles.

These hurdles may seem almost impossible to cross but the Bible says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. (Philippians 4:13)

Challenge yourself to live above mediocrity and the ordinary!

Surely, people will criticize you; they criticised David as well. They’ll try to discourage you like David’s brothers did to David, but be strong! Be resolute in your quest for victory.

Remember that like in the case of David and the Israelites, there are souls who’s freedom and success is attached to your resolve to live above mediocrity.

DON’T BE ORDINARY WHEN YOU CAN BE EXTRAORDINARY!

The Greatest Love

Love was one of the most powerful weapons God used in redeeming Mankind back to himself; and that weapon is still very much active today.

The Bible says in John 3 vs 16;

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his ONLY begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

Jesus was the only Son God ever had, yet, God was willing to sacrifice Him for the salvation of the world.

God gave Jesus out into the cold hands of death just because of you and I and in doing this, put both Heaven and Earth in Great danger.

Great danger?

Yes! Because the fate of both Heaven and earth depended on whether Jesus would fulfil or fail in His mission.

Jesus faced several temptations, yet, He overcame them all. He refused to be distracted in His mission to save mankind. Scriptures tell us that He prayed with so much fervency – not for Himself, but for you and I. (Hebrews 5 vs 7)

He had the power to disappear before even when the soldiers came to arrest Him at Gethsemane.

But He said, “Not my will Lord, but thy will be done”.

His great love for us made Him willing to sacrifice His freedom and dignity.

He even bore our curse;

Galatians 3:13 – “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:”

Folks, God’s display of love on calvary remains the highest display of love for eternity.

St. John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Even when we fall, He picks us up and wipe the stains of sin and guilt away with His Blood.

This is the incomprehensible love of Christ – the love that passes understanding.

If you ever feel like anyone hates you, remember that two thousand years ago, a Divine Being named ‘Jesus’ made the greatest love sacrifice on the cross.

Are you feeling hopeless or in despair? Look unto the cross and be strengthened.

If you ever feel like an outcast, Remember you have been adopted by God through Christ and you are now a part of God’s Household {Ephesians 2:12-13}

Rejoice and bask in the love of Christ! 😊😊

Rejoicing in Grief

Apart from the fact that depression eats its prey silently, it a way of subtly camouflaging itself as a seemingly peaceful state of mind, which is in reality, the exact opposite.

Romans 8:1 says ‘There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.’

Depression is not deep thinking, but meditating on the mistakes, ill-luck and unfortunate things that happened to one; not to spur one to positive response, but to bound such a one’s mind with the mind-set that he was born to fail.

Depression is a negative force. Like a magnet, it doesn’t come alone, it attracts negative results, output and circumstances to itself.

The way out?

Philippians 4:4

“Rejoice in the Lord Always. Again, I will say, Rejoice”

Finding a reason to appreciate God is a sure way to escape from the fangs of depression. Depression cannot dwell in the heart of a grateful soul.

Instead of regretting and feeling like a failure, give thanks to God in faith and hope that things will get better.

2 Samuel 12:15: “After Nathan returned to his home, the Lord made Bathsheba’s baby deathly ill.”

2 Samuel 12:16: “David begged God to spare the child. He went without food and lay all night on the bare ground.”

2 Samuel 12:17: “The leaders of the nation pleaded with him to get up and eat with them, but he refused.”

2 Samuel 12:18: Then on the seventh day the baby died. David’s advisers were afraid to tell him. “He was so broken up about the baby being sick,” they said. “What will he do to himself when we tell him the child is dead?”

David committed adultery with Bathsheba, Uriah’s wife, and as a punishment, God struck the child of their cohabitation with a deadly sickness.

David wept, fasted and prayed for the healing of his child. He prayed that God would preserve the life of his child. Still, the child died.

Such an occurrence is capable of destabilising even the most hardened of hearts. David lost his precious baby to the sickness.

But my interest in this study isn’t that David lost his baby, but what David did after the loss.

2 Samuel 12:20 Then David got up from the ground, washed himself, put on lotions, and changed his clothes. Then he went to the Tabernacle and worshiped the Lord. After that, he returned to the palace and ate.

Instead of weeping and cursing God for a child that was gone, David worshipped God and put on the garments of devotion to the sovereignty of God.

Thus, we learn that we might not be able to control everything that happens in our lives, but we can always determine our response to that situation.

There are certain things that our prayer might not have been able to prevent, such as the casualties from the Covid, or the Lockdown, but we can decide that in the midst of all these, we will remain grateful saints.

David never went into prolonged depression despite the loss of his child. Thereafter, God gave him another child who became richest and one of the wisest Kings of Israel.

Beloved, don’t be dismayed, because God will surely give you double of what you lost.

Instead of regretting, rise up, believe those wonderful things He has promised you and hold unto them.

Give thanks, rejoice, sing songs of worship and change your atmosphere from one of mourning, to one of rejoicing.

What does Christ’s Resurrection mean for Believers

Over the past centuries, we have had magicians come up with several paranormal tricks and miracles. Even Buddhists and monks have diverse means of channeling healing and certain supernatural provisions to people.

With these in place, what makes the ministry of Jesus so unique. What makes Him the Lord and savior over all, and what makes Christianity the true religion.

It is His death and resurrection. No man has ever died and resurrected three days later, in His own power. It is unheard of. But Jesus died two thousand years ago, and on the third day He arose.

What significance does this have for believers?

1. His death and resurrection was the testament or attestation that Him alone holds the keys of life and death.

2. It was the declaration of His victory over the forces of Hell.

Colossians 2:15: “In this way, God disarmed the evil rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross of Christ.”

When He died, Jesus ascended into the depths of hell and conquered its forces. We are told in the aforementioned scripture that He disarmed those evil spiritual rulers.

This means He stripped them of their authority and the weapons with which they continually tormented man. He stripped them of the keys of death!

His Resurrection was the proof that indeed, He had risen. Therefore, we rejoice this day, because in Christ’s victory, we have our victory. Satan has no authority over us anymore. He has no right over us anymore.

Your sins are forgiven. The Blood was shed for the remission of our sins. We have been purchased and now we belong to Christ.

Therefore, Satan has no right over us.

Hallelujah!

3. His Resurrection marked the birth of the Church

Colossians 2:12: “For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to a new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.”

In Christ’s death, we died. The Old Man died with and in Him. But if it had ended there, we’d have been hopeless. Jesus resurrected, and we resurrected in and with Him unto a New Life.

This Life is called New Life because it is the kind of life that has never been seen before. No one in the old testament had this new life.

No one before Jesus’s resurrection had this New Life. But Jesus’s resurrection secured this New Life for us. It is Divine Life – the very resurrected Life and Nature of Christ.

Therefore, this day should not be a day of mere celebration and festivity, it should be a day of sobriety and sober reflection.

We must ask ourselves if we are truly living in this New Life which we have in Christ.

We must ask ourselves if we are living as the resurrected Church, or as dead sinners.

Are we truly living the divine life? Or are we making vain his Resurrection.

We must decide that this life of Christ in us, which is the light of the world, will be expressed through us everyday, in our speech, actions and conduct. The New Life must not be a mere theory or Doctrine, it must be a tangible reality.

People around us must experience it daily. They should experience Christ through us. Our conduct and output must be unique, distinct and permeated with heavenly fragrance, such that folks are compelled to ask for the source of our divine distinction.

4. Hope of Resurrection

1Co 15:22: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

Christianity is the only religion whose founder is not in the grave. This makes it the true and eternal religion.

The resurrection of Christ even makes Christianity more than a religion, as it provides a hope for believers – a hope which cannot be found in any religion; the hope of a future resurrection unto immortality.

Jesus resurrected to become the firstfruit of a tribe of humans with the divine life, known as Christians, who will all someday rise to full immortality where they’ll never know death again.

Though our bodies perish today, we have the hope, that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, will quicken our mortal bodies unto eternal life in the presence of God.

What do I do when my love for God has waxed cold

We live in a world full of uncertainties and wickedness.

It takes a man whose love is not set on the things of the world, to survive the wickedness that has been planted in it. Only a man who has overcome selfishness will be able to live above the greed found amongst men in this world.

Unfortunately, the love of God – which is above selfishness, is waxing very cold among even the saints.

Many false prophets will arise and lead multitudes astray and because of the prevalent disregard of God’s law the love of the great majority will grow cold – Matthew 24:12 {Weymouth}

God’s desire is that as His children, we should live in obedience to His precepts and commandments. He desires that we fill our hearts with His love, and allow our feet to be governed by this love.

False Teaching

We live in a time where false prophets and teachers are at a rise. A believer has to be very discreet in choosing a church to belong to and a pastor to listen to.

The false teachings these days have been masked such that only a discerning Christian will be able to identify it.

We now have Churches that have been turned into business centres. Places of worship are being turned into vaccination centres.

Pastors are turning the Gospel into a more motivational speech, and saints are being deprived of the right nourishment of the Gospel.

This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God” (Philippians 1:9–11).

What do I do when my love for God grows cold?

1. Identify the cause and repent of it:

What made God’s love in you to go cold? Friends? Offence? Sin? Search your heart and identify the root of it. Take it to God in repentant prayer. Let go of it at the altar of repentance.

St. Matthew 5:30: “And if your hand—even if it is your stronger hand—causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”

2. Associate with Kingdom-Minded Friends:

Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpens iron…”

Identify with believers who are full of fervency for the things of God. One cannot stay close to fire and not be warm. Separate yourself from intimate friendship with unbelievers. The love of God flows unto us when we join a community of true believers.

3. Revive it with the true knowledge of Christ.

Open your heart to God’s Word and The Holy Spirit. Get sermons that will stir up your love and passion for God.

Is your love for God frosty? Repent and be transformed.

What does it cost to be unique?

The population of people in the world is about 7.1 billion. The mystery here is that no two persons are the same.

Even if they seem to be, their fingerprints would never be! That is the amazingness of God’s creation.

Different faces with different fingerprints. Uniqueness is what it is!

God is known for diversity. He created even the animals, each one in a way that is very different from the other.

To further show his diversified nature, God divided the ministry of Jesus into five folds. The aim was for the uniqueness of each ministry to be recognized and to create a synergy that would bring maturity and equipping to the body of Christ.

To everyone, there is usually an ability that makes them distinctive from others.

Never look down at yourself for you are special, and significant. Be sure that your existence is as important to God as it is to man.

Uniqueness makes people go after you because you are the one in the right position to offer something that they need.

You cannot be gifted and not needed. No!

Joseph and Daniel in the Bible were made phenomenal through the spirit of Wisdom. Their uniqueness emanated from the wisdom that they had and they became greatly sought after for their services.

Most times, it takes the spirit of Wisdom to open one up to his distinctiveness.

Do you want to be unique? Here are some tips:

1. Be Skillful: To be skillful is beyond learning about a business or a vocation.

It is investing your time into the appropriate knowledge needed to make you an expert in a chosen field or career.

There are many problems in various fields that need to be tackled and it is only skilled men that can bring solutions to these problems.

One skilled in business discovers prosperity, but the one who trusts in God is blessed beyond belief!” Proverbs 16:20.

One surest way to be unique is to invest in quality knowledge that will expand your scope and build you to a place of influence.

2. Values and Virtues: Success doesn’t come only by being skillful. There must be personal core values you must imbibe into you to be outstanding, and remarkable.

Most organizations look for people who are not only skillful but are reliable and committed.

Besides, as true believers, we must imbibe in us the values of the kingdom. This is the only way we can manifest God.

3. Wisdom: Wisdom is a gift given liberally by God. Even, He is the hub of wisdom.

For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” {NLT} – Proverbs 2:6

Divine wisdom effortlessly generates uniqueness. Solomon was a perfect example! His wisdom induced his uniqueness and gave way to his relevance.

However, wisdom is beyond what we want to show, it is what God wants to show through us. That through our life, God is put on display.

Albeit wisdom attracts people to you, it is still the character that keeps them. Pray for wisdom alongside a decent character.

4. Mindset: One of the greatest strongholds of a man is his mindset.

The mind is the channel by which God brings every spiritual reality to expression.

Until it is transformed you can’t think fair of yourself. Who you are, determines what you have seen with the eyes of your mind.

Change the perception of what you think you are and see yourself in the light of God’s definition.

Alleluia!

We are running out of Time!

Years ago, I lived parents’ house as a kid, running around the compound without your slippers on.

Years ago, I was in high school, dependent on my parents for funding and survival. Yet, in the twinkling of an eye, I am semi-independent, at the verge of becoming a University graduate with a B. A degree. Everyday brings me closer to a life of total independence.

Years ago, I’d never have imagined that I could live alone, without my parents. It made me reject the consideration to attend a Boarding school.

Yet, as a student of The University of Benin, Nigeria, I have been living in my private apartment without my parents’ supervision for nearly two years now.

In all these, I have learnt a vital lesson, which I intend on sharing with you through this article. That lesson is the lesson of Time.

I have learnt that time waits for no man. No matter how much one wants to remain in comfort and mediocre living, one must gird his loins and get moving if one must succeed in life.

Proverbs 6:9: ‘But you, lazybones, how long will you sleep? When will you wake up? I want you to learn this lesson’

Proverbs 6:10: ‘A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest’ —

Proverbs 6:11: “and poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.”

I want to talk specifically to the young fellows. Make use of your time! Make proper use of your free time! Time is valuable. Time is money! I’ve always thought that the greatest, yet most delicate asset God gave to man is time.

Today is an opportunity to have a better tomorrow! Everyday is a seed for a greater condition in the days ahead. What are you doing with your time? What are you doing with your ‘today’?

Hours ago, it was jjust 5am here in Nigeria. It was dark, cool and good for sleep.

Yet, within four hours from now, we’ll be in dusk, working hours will be over and the day will be paving way for the night to come.

No matter how much we want to slow the hands of time, it remains a force that is beyond our control.

So, the best you can do, is to achieve all that is achievable, and do all you can in the Now.

Two things to do with your Time

1. Invest in Yourself

Many of us invest more in what we wear than in who are. We invest more in the quality of our dressing than in the quality of our thinking. It’s time for a change. Spend every minute of your day in becoming a better version of your former self.

– Invest in your mind.
– Read good books.
– Improve on your skill.

Do not cringe from spending money in bettering your craftsmanship.

Instead of wasting time in unnecessary activities, take masterclasses and attend webinars that will sharpen your mental acumen and entrepreneurial skills.

You’ll never go broke if you invest in yourself. Benjamin Franklin said,

‘An investment in yourself pays the best interest’.

Everything done towards becoming a better person is a self-investment. It will make you a better person, not just to yourself, but to the society. The society will only value you if you spend time in self development.

Invest in your Health

Improve your eating habits. Cut out eating junk. Carve out time exercising daily.

Instead of spending the morning lying on the bed lazily, grab your sports vest and go for a jog.

2. Invest in Others

Source: Optimy Wiki

Add value to the lives of people. Eleanor Roosevelt said, ‘For our own success to be real, it must contribute to the success of others’.

Use your time to better the lives of people. Use your time to make the society a better place to live in.

Haven’t you observed, that the richest men are always the richest givers. Great men are always great givers.

There are children with bright minds, yet living in poverty because there is no one to help them. Be the one to help them. Make them appreciate the phenomenon of human existence.

Every morning God gives you, is given to you for others. Therefore, before jumping off the bed, the first question you must ask yourself is, ‘What can I for my society.’

What do you have that the society needs? It is in the answer to this question that we attain discovery of our true value.

Heal the sick. Sow seeds of compassion to people. Give people a reason to be alive.

If you center your time on doing these two things, your profitability will appear to all.

Were you blessed by this? We would love to hear from you 😊; drop a comment or send an email to nwododivine82@gmail.com. God bless you! ❤️

Paradoxical Success

Studying Arts, Literature particularly, has increased my love for history.

When I study the works of pacesetters and geniuses of poetry, I am in awe at what human minds could produce even in centuries that were void of easy access to information and education as our age.

But inasmuch as I admire their talents and works, I also study their personal lives to see what lessons I can learn them.

One of the poets who fascinate me most is Edgar Allen Poe. Edgar is among the pioneers of detective fiction, cosmological poetry and short story telling. His works received several positive reviews and awards during his lifetime.

Amongst other poets, why did I choose to mention Edgar Allen Poe in this brief diary entry. Keep reading, and you’ll discover why.

Despite his popularity, fame and literary success, Edgar had a horrible personal life. He was an Alcoholic, and lacked self-control.

Edgar’s addiction to alcohol made him drunk, publicly on several occasions. It also contributed to his collapsed marriage. The death of his wife worsened it.

Edgar became a radical Alcoholic. And some time later, he passed away from complications which could be traced to his Alcoholic addiction.

He had a successful career, but a horrible life. He was a great author, yet, a miserable Alcoholic . He was an incredible public figure, yet a terrible person. His weakness did not stop his success, but it definitely cut it short.

Like Edgar, you might be very talented and professional in your specialty.

It could be poetry, education, storytelling, music etc. You might be an incredible craftsman, renowned and celebrated by all who come across your works, yet, in the midst of all these, you find yourself having a weakness, a hidden one, which keeps rising up when you’re away from the crowd and public admiration.

That weakness could be anger, a sexual sin, drunkenness etc. No one knows about it, and it seems pleasurable to your darkened mind. So you’ve decided to submit to the weakness secretly, and continue your journey to fame publicly.

That would be the greatest mistake of your life. Because that weakness, that negative addiction, when the whole world knows your name, will be used by Satan to tarnish your image and give you a miserable end.

He’s watching silently, crouching at the door of your heart, like a little puppy. He’s waiting for the time when the whole world knows your name, and then he will take hold of your weakness and use it to make you take a detour into your downfall.

Don’t tolerate that secret sin!

Samson was a successful warrior. He was recorded among the list of the greatest of Jewish judges.

Yet, after he had done a public exploit, he would go to Delilah, an agent of the enemy, and take pleasure in her soothing laps.

He never identified with her publicly, but behind closed doors, he submitted his head- his authority and his will, to her hands.

He never envisaged his downfall. But Satan did. And when the time was right, Samson fell miserably. His eyes were gorged out. The great warrior became the blind spectacle.

Behold how the mighty falls and learn!

Mark 9:43: “And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than with two hands to go to hell, to the unquenchable fire.”

Subdue that weakness before it subdues you.

What Is God’s will For Your Life?

One of the profound statements made by one of the wisest Kings of Israel, Solomon, is that ‘there is a time for everything under the earth.’

There was a time you were born and there is a time you will die. The life of a man begins from the womb and ends at the tomb.

In the middle of the journey from the womb to the tomb, is the assignment that God has in mind for us.

To live a life without a clear vision of what God wants you to do is to live a wasted life.

Never live your life without understanding of God’s will for you.

A Wise Man once said ‘when purpose is not realized, abuse is inevitable.’

The will of God will always communicate the purpose of your life on Earth.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.’ Jeremiah 29:11-13.

The aforementioned passage lets us know that God has thoughts about us. He has a will and purpose for our existence.

This means that there is a picture of your future in the mind of God and He wants to show it to you.

God wants to show you His thoughts so that you your walk will be aligned with them.

Many people are ignorant of the thoughts of God towards them. This is wrong. God desires to reveal His thoughts for you, to you. The thoughts of God for us is His will for us.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 55: 8-9.

Thoughts are energies that constitute our lives. Ninety percent of who we are today is a product of our thoughts.

Spend time thinking through the thoughts of God daily. His thoughts are in His world. They’re thoughts of Hope, a better tomorrow, prosperity and peace.

If God’s thought is larger than our thoughts, it means that what God desires for us is far wider and greater than what we even want for ourselves.

His will is higher than our will and that is why we must surrender our will and yield to His will.

How can I know God’s Will?

The Holy Spirit will always communicate the will of God to us. He is the One who reveals the deep and hidden things of God. These things are hidden, not from us but for us.

God loves you more than you love yourself. He has our future all birthed and planned in His Mind. Seek to know the Mind of God.

Revelation of His Will for us is what births the convictions required to withstand the storms of life.

Do you know God’s will for your life or you are still roaming around looking?

The Preserving Faith

There are three P’s of Faith: Patience, Persistence, and perseverance. These three constitute the nature of faith.

As Believers, we are meant to solidify our faith to fight the imminent evil days. If our faith is not strong how then can we fight against the fiery darts of the enemy? How would we stand against storms and sufferings and prosecutions?

The days we are in look like the sun is so darkened and the heavens have been closed over us. Such days where the government is against the rise of the Ecclesia.

Such occurrences are part of the test of our loyalty to God. For if we have no vitality at the time of tribulations, we are weak and have not yet been trained to uphold the Faith.

Our ancestors, the first-century fathers of faith; the apostles, were not called fathers of faith simply for recognition.

It was because they went through different types of trials. The storm was so great that the church in Jerusalem was dispersed but yet they had a persistent and preserving faith.

They were patient because faith can’t build enough stature in us if there is no patience. Patience makes our faith robust, firm, and able to hope and see beyond what is going around us.

It doesn’t matter what we are going through, it doesn’t matter how the situation looks like now. What we need is a faith that will make us live and dwell daily in the supernatural.

For the raging roar of stormy winds and waves cannot erode our faith in God. Rest in His presence has a constantly flowing river whose sparkling streams bring joy and delight to his people. Psalms 46: 3-4.

There are so numerous storms in life and, it is only our faith that can calm them. It takes a man of faith to speak and things would return to normal.

Do we remember the miracle of faith that Jesus performed while the disciples were on a boat?

The master was sleeping comfortably in the boat when storms and the winds came wrecking.

The disciples were afraid of death even when the master who gives life to all was on the boat with them. He simply rebuked the raging sea and wind and they became calm. The disciples had joy and rest.

When we have persistence, perseverance, and patience, there is no high level of the storm coming that we won’t be able to surmount.

We should do well to plant our lives in Christ Jesus that our faith may produce fruits in due season. With Him in our boats, our faith springs forth life.

Hallelujah!

God wants us to overcome every storm, it is in God’s interest for us to win every battle in our lives. By this, His glory in us is displayed.

What is your faith’s level?
Boost it today.
