The Greatest Love

Love was one of the most powerful weapons God used in redeeming Mankind back to himself; and that weapon is still very much active today.

The Bible says in John 3 vs 16;

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his ONLY begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

Jesus was the only Son God ever had, yet, God was willing to sacrifice Him for the salvation of the world.

God gave Jesus out into the cold hands of death just because of you and I and in doing this, put both Heaven and Earth in Great danger.

Great danger?

Yes! Because the fate of both Heaven and earth depended on whether Jesus would fulfil or fail in His mission.

Jesus faced several temptations, yet, He overcame them all. He refused to be distracted in His mission to save mankind. Scriptures tell us that He prayed with so much fervency – not for Himself, but for you and I. (Hebrews 5 vs 7)

He had the power to disappear before even when the soldiers came to arrest Him at Gethsemane.

But He said, “Not my will Lord, but thy will be done”.

His great love for us made Him willing to sacrifice His freedom and dignity.

He even bore our curse;

Galatians 3:13 – “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:”

Folks, God’s display of love on calvary remains the highest display of love for eternity.

St. John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Even when we fall, He picks us up and wipe the stains of sin and guilt away with His Blood.

This is the incomprehensible love of Christ – the love that passes understanding.

If you ever feel like anyone hates you, remember that two thousand years ago, a Divine Being named ‘Jesus’ made the greatest love sacrifice on the cross.

Are you feeling hopeless or in despair? Look unto the cross and be strengthened.

If you ever feel like an outcast, Remember you have been adopted by God through Christ and you are now a part of God’s Household {Ephesians 2:12-13}

Rejoice and bask in the love of Christ! 😊😊

Live Love

The supreme revelation of God was unveiled to us in 1 John 4:8:
“…. God is love”.

Unfortunately, the word, ‘Love’ is a word which has been wrongly defined, misused and misinterpreted by people.

Love, to the fallen man, is a feeling – a good feeling one has for another. This mediocre definition is a contributing factor to the numerous divorces found in American homes.

But for the Saint, love is not a mere feeling; neither is it an idea. For the Saint, Love is a nature, heart and life of benevolence, charity and kindness to humanity.

Adamic love is conditional. But Agape love – the love we are commanded to show to man – is unconditional.

Are you living this life of Love?

When your heart is lain bare before several eyes, what will be seen? Will it be a heart clothed with divine love, or a heart hardened with hate?

The Love of Christ was what made Him to leave the pleasures of Heaven to partake in man’s humanity, for our liberation.

Romans 5:8: “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” {NLT}

God expressed His love for us through the sacrifice of His beloved Son.

By that act, God created a precedent, a standard and an ordinance, to govern Christian living.

It is no secret that this is a tough season for nations around the world.

Even the world’s global power, USA, is experiencing a steady decline in its national economic strength.

Millions around the world are dying daily. Hope is fading away, like the setting of the sun.

Music therapy is no longer working. Motivational speeches are no longer antidepressants. Who shall the world turn to?

Jesus answered this question when He said, ‘We are the light of the world’.
The Church is God’s light meant to illuminate the darkened hearts and hopeless lives of people.

We do this by showing and expressing the Love of Christ to them.

This Love must be lived, not just in the Church, but even outside the Church. It must be felt by our neighbours and friends.

A religious scholar once posed this question to Jesus:

“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”

Jesus answered him, “‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart, with all the energy of your being, and with every thought that is within you.’ {TPT}

This is the great and supreme commandment. And the second is like it in importance: ‘You must love your friend in the same way you love yourself.’ Contained within these commandments to love you will find all the meaning of the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 23:36-40 {TPT}

The greatest commandment that Christ gave the church is to love God and to love humanity.

Some believers are full of so much hate that they actually desire the eternal destruction of those who hate them; whereas, God’s Word tells us that He does not want anyone to perish.

Now, this is the goal: to live in harmony with one another and demonstrate affectionate love, sympathy, and kindness toward other believers. Let humility describe who you are as you dearly love one another.” 1 Peter 3:8.

The core value of the Church is Love. Every other value and principle is built upon it.

The same way Christ expressed the love of The Father to man, is the same way The Church, must express and exemplify Agape love to humanity.

Beloved children, our love can’t be an abstract theory we only talk about, but a way of life demonstrated through our loving deeds. We know that the truth lives within us because we demonstrate love in action, which will reassure our hearts in his presence.” 1 John 3:17.

Real love is an action. Real Love is overwhelming; it is a tangible phenomenon.

Love is more of a verb than a noun.

Love is seen by actions and not by mere words. Real love will push you to the undeveloped nations of Africa to provide spiritual, emotional and financial edification to humanity.

It will cause you to give to the poor and needy. When there is true love in one, one’s smile becomes a healing balm to the wounded.

Manifest God’s Love today!

A Parable to The Nation

Jesus told the story of a father who had 2 sons. He said to one, go work in my vineyard. That one said “I will not”, but later he went and did the work.

The man had said the same to the other “Go work in my vineyard”; and that one had replied “Yes Sir, I will”, but he did not go.

Jesus then asked those whom He was talking to “Which do you think was the better son?”, and they answered rightly – forget what each son said, the one who did the father’s will – was the better one.

Jesus then told those to whom he was talking; those who ruled and who had the people’s ear – congress and the media, or the pharisees and the sadducees, that the prophets of the Lord, or John; came and showed the way of righteousness and those regarded as sinners – prostitutes and tax collectors believed him and stood with the church, but they after they had heard, still refused to believe and carried on with their ways.

He then told another parable and ended it by referring to a stone which the builders rejected, which had become the chief of the corner.

This is a parable to a nation where those don’t say what you want to hear but do what is right are rejected over those who say what you want to hear but do what is left.

We hope someone is listening. It is well.

15 Things Believers should learn from The Military

The Bible lets us know that we are soldiers who are in a fight of faith. Our weapon is not carnal or earthly, like that of the human soldiers. Rather, they are Mighty, spiritual and effectual.

As soldiers of the Gospel, there are certain Qualities and attributes that the Kingdom expects of us.

Ignorance of these attributes can hinder our spiritual strength in the face of spiritual warfare. Some of these attributes are found in the life and operations of the human Military.

It will be wise if we look into them and imbibe them.

1. They don’t have a will. The Commander’s will is their will.

Christian Application: We should no longer seek to implement our will but the Lord’s.

2. They care less about everything else and more of the assignment to be done.

Christian Application: We should be mission minded, more concerned about the assignment to be done than anything else.

3. They rarely mingle with civilians.

Christian Application: Not to mingle with the world.

4. They do not neglect their exercises or trainings.

Christian Application: Not to neglect our daily spiritual exercises; praying, study, fasting, etc.

5. They’re strategic, never stepping into a battle without being backed by definite planning.

Christian Application: Always plan (Prov. 16:3).

6. They watch one another’s back on the battle field.

Christian Application: We should watch each other’s back in the battlefield of life, praying always for each other.
Many have been wounded cause we weren’t keeping watch.

7. They would risk their life to save others.

Christian Application: Till we’re ready to die for the world like Jesus, we’ve not begun. Only then could we go any length in God’s will to get them saved.

8. They may not live long enough but they live their best here on Earth.

Christian Application: We should care more of living best than living long. For even our Lord lived 33 and yet, He lived best!

9. Always have alternatives.

Christian Application: We should always have alternatives. If a plan we make should fail we should have another in the border of scriptures too to complement that one.

10. They’re always ready against attack and for anything.

Christian Application: We shouldn’t be ignorant of the enemy’s wiles. We should have put on always, the whole armor of God and be ready to do our biddings.

11. They Always pray before planning or stepping into a battle.

Christian Application: We shouldn’t venture into important things or anything at all without praying.
It literally paves the way!

12. They are always loyal to those above them in rank eve

Christian Application: Whether you’re older than your pastor or those God’s placed over you, respect and be loyal to them.

13. They stand always with the General whether they understand him or not!

Christian Application: Christ is our General and whether we understand Him or not, we should stand with Him and always follow Him.

14. They’re so easily motivated.

Christian Application: As David who encouraged himself in the Lord, so should we too. We shouldn’t always be waiting for someone or something out there to motivate us.
We should learn to stir motivation ourselves from within.

15. No soldier’s body is left on the field; No matter what- It must be retrieved!

Christian Application: We shouldn’t abandon our own no matter what. We should rescue them from the enemy’s camp, such as have fallen or are behind.

Franklin Graham calls for peace and calm on Inauguration Day.

Renowned crusader, evangelist and philanthropist, Franklin Graham, has called for peace from Americans even as a new political administration gets inaugrated on February 20th.

In a statement released via his Facebook Page, the Evangelist said,
“Tomorrow as our country inaugurates a new president, there are concerns that there could be violence in Washington, DC, and in state capitals across the nation. I encourage Christians to make tomorrow, January 20, a day of prayer—for peace and calm…”

He also called on Believers across the nation to make the date, a day of prayer. He admonished them to pray for the soon-to-be inaugrated POTUS and VPOTUS, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, respectively.

His statements sparked a mixed reaction from his over three million Facebook followers.

“I am not turning on my tv Wednesday. He’s certainly not my President and she’s not my Vice President” a lady commented.

‘On January 20, 2021, “Nebuchadnezzar” expects us to bow before the image he built. We politely decline’ another lady named Sheila stated.

On the 20th of January, 2020, Joe Biden will be inaugrated as the President of the United States amidst tension and violence which has gone from being political to being religious.

The Biden/Harris administration has been called by many men and women of faith, ‘The Antichrist administration’, while the outgoing Trump/Pence administration was described as the ‘Christian’ administration.

Time will tell if the great resistance of the Saints against Biden was necessary or sentimental.
