DESTINY

The blind leading the blind,
Life calls for the inclined,
Time is the unit of destiny,
Such is Life.

Stand your ground,
Lest do not be proud,
Open your eyes wide,
For life is not a game.

Living in bad debt.
Yet death looms around for men,
And where can you find life,
Such life is in Christ.

Such is life is what they say,
We can’t do better they claim,
Yet destiny calls your name,
Frivolousness ends your race.

Say your name to grace,
Tell her about your race,
Find the path to destiny,
Never bring yourself to sympathy.

The Power of Planning

Planning gives value to purpose. Purpose is dead without planning. Every business needs a business plan. Every purpose needs a destiny plan.

Therefore, planning empowers us to deliver better results. You don’t grow big to manage well, you manage well to grow big. Most businesses today are victim of lack of plan or poor planning.

You need planning to maximize all your endeavors. It is good management that brings good results. Everything that grows must be well manage.

Praying without planning is praying without knowing. Praying alone will make you a burden to God, but praying and planning makes co-labourer with God. Planning is the master key to accomplishment. Planning is the cheapest way to avoid wastage.

Shallow men think of luck, but great men think of cause and effect.

Planning is outlining actions one has to take in a quest to fulfill a dream. Planning is a step by step method of accomplishing a set goal.

It is your intellectual capacity that determines the quality of your plan. You need insight to your purpose in order to prevent poor planning.

Dreams are bound to be aborted if there is no planning. Wishing to great and not planning to be great will lead you to the woods.

Lack of planning is the result of many failure in the lives of so many people. Planning is understanding the steps you can take delibrately in order to achieve a target.

Plans are in phases, greatness is in sizes; the way you plan will determine the size of your greatness. Planning makes all your dealings in life to be detailed.

Tips for Proper Planning

Here are some tips one must take note of, in proper planning;

1. Thinking and reasoning are the raw materials for sound planning.

2. Every planner must be a great thinker.

3. Life is practical not mystical. Life needs a practical approach to in order to make most of it on earth.

4. You need to engage your own model to create your own future.

5. If you are not committed to mental work, you will end up doing menial work. Thinking affect the quality of your planning and output.

6. Spirituality is not against reasoning, it enhances the quality of your reasoning capacity.

7. Anything you are planning must require strategic planning as the base line.

Believers’ Obligation to the Government

1 Peter 2:17 – “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor

Believers must come to understand that no matter how much they would love to have Christians as leaders of nations, Unbelievers will still have access to national power.

God is not an unjust judge. He gives equal opportunities to the Christian and to the sinner. There is no possiblity as having a continuous line of Christian presidents ruling a particular nation.

Understanding of this, will enable us to accept the outcome of elections even when they are contrary to what we expected or voted for.

In such a situation as this, where the agenda of those who are at the helm of political affairs in America, we are tempted to fall into despair and apathy.

Yet, the Bible admonishes us to pray for our leaders even in times like this.

It does not specify the type who of leaders we are to pray for. Hence, whether they are good or bad, we are to remember them in our prayers. Praying for the salvation of their souls, the obstruction of their evil policies and guidance to do the right things.

Our primary duty is to pray for our leaders and our country at large.

Jeremiah 29:7 – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper”

We must not become apathetic towards the issues that concerns our country’s politics and economy. The failure of believers to pray for their countries will lead to its downfall.

When we fold our hands and shut our lips towards the affairs of our nation, God will likewise shut Himself out of the affairs of this nation.

God Himself has said it, in the aforementioned text, that if we pray then our nation will prosper, and if our nation prospers, then we will prosper.

Beloved Saints, let us pray for the peace and prosperity of our respective countries.

Let us pray for the wisdom of God upon our leaders. Let us pray for the counsel of the ungodly to be destroyed.

Let us pray that God’s will be done in our nations.

Amen.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER

Within the scope of the body of Christ, prayer is the ONLY channel or means of communicating WITH GOD. Prayer is a face of fellowship through which believers can worship God IN TRUTH and IN SPIRIT.

In other words, it is the mode of ‘fellowship with God’ which is done through the name Jesus, else, it’s not consistent with what the Bible calls prayer.

The reasons for prayer varies from person to person, the reasons underlying our prayers, are reflectives of the benefits we intend to receive.
However, there are fundamental benefits of praying, which includes:

1. INTIMACY WITH GOD

Our degree of intimacy with God differs because the CAPACITY of our relationship with God is not the same. Intimacy is the platform upon which the church is espoused to Christ (the head of the church).

Intimacy also exists between a husband and his wife, the basic purpose of their marriage is to live together as ONE FLESH.
In likewise manner, we’re joined with Christ and our intimacy with him is maintained and explored through prayer.

In marital relationship, sex is not just for satisfaction, it is a language of intimacy which strengthens the oneness of the couple.

In relationship with God, prayer is not a ritualistic exercise, it is a language of intimacy which sustains the oneness of the body of Christ.

Intimacy with God Is primarily concerned with ‘walking with God’ before working for God. It is a facet with emphasis on “the secret place.”

Genesis 5:24: “And Enoch WALKED WITH GOD: and he was not; for God took him.”

The above text is the account of Enoch’s testimony, he’s the facet dimension which depicts the christian journey into the depths of the realities of God.

2. SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Both individual and collective growth is the product of consistent intimacy with God, when every believer is growing, the body of Christ will eventually reach ‘the unity of the faith’.

Growth is a characteristic of believers, it is the evidence that one has not just walked with God, but has TOUCHED realities of God which are encrypted in his spirit.

Growth becomes part of your benefit when you’re GIVEN to many prayers which concerns the matters of the kingdom.

Nobody grows by default, Never!
Therefore, it is not enough to ignite intimate relationship with God, you must endeavor to GROW, if not, you’ll remain a new-creature-infant.

Growth is concerned with spiritual maturity. Prayer helps to draw you closer to God, it serves as a mode for approximating to a higher realm. When this happens, it shows you’re actually growing.

Ephesians 4:13: “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto A PERFECT MAN, unto the measure of the stature of THE FULNESS of Christ”

From the above mentioned text, ‘a’ perfect man is used to typify THE BODY of Christ as ‘one perfect personality’ which has attained the fullness of Christ. This is why WE pray for THE BODY, until this benefit is achieved.

3. IT IS A MODE OF WARFARE OPERATION.

Isaiah 9:4-5: “For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.”

From the above scripture, the war scenario is the immediate devastation of the Midianites, which is used to compare the conflict and a sudden conquest that Christ obtained over sin, satan, the world, and death.

As christian soldiers, we know that we are not permitted to wrestle against our fellow human, we are rather approbated to fight against evil forces.

Ephesians 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against PRINCIPALITIES, against POWERS, against THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS of this world, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS in high places.”

The wrestling and the victory over these evil forces, can ONLY be possible through praying, else, we can’t be able to fight those forces. This is one of the outstanding benefits of praying.

Due to the powers that be, whenever you pray, it turns to be a war in the spirit world.

David was a man who uses songs to pray. Those songs are called ‘songs of prayer’ or ‘intercessory songs’. More often than not, he sings prayerfully, that’s why he was not just a singer, but a worshipper THROUGH prayer.

Prayer was actually the life of his songs.

Prayer is the life of ALL believers. This is the emphasis behind what Jesus said in Luke 18:1

….Men ought ALWAYS to pray, and not to faint

He said, ‘always’.

When something is done always, it will automatically become a lifestyle. When something is your lifestyle, it is already an addiction, there will be no day you won’t do it, there will be no day you will relent in doing it.

Pray more often in your secret place, intensify your prayers and maintain it as your lifestyle.

Let us pray!

ANGELS

Let me talk a little on Angels today: ”Do you know you’ve encountered Angels and maybe severally?”

UNUSUAL APPEARANCE

You’ve ever observed a person you rarely see but always see when you’re in some grave danger and when it’s resolved, they’re no more? And on and on like that It goes…

They may not appear in the form you expect as with wings and in white garment and the likes but they do severally appear besides those appearances in human form to men.
They did with Abraham(Gen.18).
They did with Lot(Gen.19).
They did with much more…

When they do, some men of the Spirit could realize it and some others do not but irregardless, they must accomplish their task at the time.

I’ve had Angelic visitation too of the white garment and the likes we do know of but of this I speak now, very often. This happens many times in the lives of God’s children.

You must not be ignorant of the divine and of Angelic operations. You must be sensitive as a child of God.
Sometimes we get distracted and it’s okay. But, come right back. Get in the race. Run with speed. Run with determination.

Speaking of these Angels, they’re ministering spirits to the saints and to the church.
Seeing such important role they play, why ignore their operation?

OTHER SCENARIOS

There were times too you’ve been delivered from some accidents maybe on road and from some harm and others.
Those are Fruits of Angelic operations!

HOW TO RELEASE THEM

Prayer: Prayer has always and always will be key.

Angels do not move till God speaks. God does not move till we speak (Pray). This should tell you how important prayer is. It should be for us as breathing itself for of such was it to the Apostles and early Church and thus could they last.

Our prayer releases God into action which brings Angelic interventions.

A WAR

There’s a war going on in the earth whether you realize it or not. But as a Soldier of Christ, you should know that.
We’re not the ones fighting but we play a major role in the battle.

By our prayers, we empower the divine and Angels and when we don’t pray, we don’t. I know it may seem hard to get but, the prayers of the church releases and empowers Angels. What happens then when they don’t?

Today, they pay less attention to the battle they’re in and tangle in worldly affairs, seeking after wealth and much more and rarely after deliverance of the oppressed and darkness destruction. As the scripture says, we shouldn’t be ignorant of the enemy’s wiles (2 Cor. 2:11).

JESUS AS EXAMPLE

Want much of Angelic visitations in your life? Got to be prayerful!

Jesus prayed in the wilderness after which Angels came and strengthened Him.

He prayed at Gethsemane and Angels came and strengthened Him.

He prayed much more times and received Angelic visitations and intervention (not all were accounted in the scriptures).

We’ve got to pray too!

“Pushing for the impeachment of a president who has left office will further divide the nation” Franklin Graham

President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Franklin Graham, has called on US President Joe Biden to ‘stand up to’ Democrats’ impeachment attempt against former president Donald Trump.

The Evangelist who has always been a vociferous supporter of Donald Trump and the Republican party, made this call in a statement released at his Facebook Page.

In his statement, Franklin Graham appreciated Joe Biden for his speech promoting peace at the Inauguration, and also called for unity and cooperation between The Democrats and The Republicans.

“I hope President Biden will stand up to those on Capitol Hill who want to impeach Donald Trump and tell them to put this behind us. If he wants to unite this country, this would be a huge step forward…” he stated.

Graham also called on Americans to pray fervently for the newly inaugurated leadership.

Meanwhile, Americans are still divided in their opinions about Trump, his impeachment and Graham’s continuous support of him.

Crystal Butler, a top follower of Evangelist Graham, responding to his statement said, ‘The biggest reason for the impeachment is to keep Trump from ever holding office. If you think this man acts like a Christian, you need to get down on your knees and pray some more’

While Dinah Ennis commented, ‘He is already undoing some of the good things Trump did. He is not interested in uniting or he would have keep these great things in place and move forward. He is more interested in going against Trump than doing good for the people. Not a good start…’

The whole world is watching, to see how the Biden/Harris Administration will turn out to be. Only time will tell whether the fears of the Evangelicals were right; or whether they were mere political sentiments.

Discovering your Purpose

Acts 13:36 “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.”

Every man in this world has a reason for which he was created. While molding a clay pot, a potter has in mind, the kind of clay pot he wants to produce and the purpose that pot will accomplish.

Creators do not create for mere pleasure, or leisure. They are intentional in their designs and inventions. Everything they create has a purpose which it accomplishes.

You have a purpose which God has ordained that you will fulfill. You are not in this world to add to the growing population. Your birth was not a mistake. Though, you might have been birthed out of wedlock, yet, you are not a mistake. Your parents’ act was a mistake, but your life and delivery was never a mistake.

It was foreordained in the Eternal counsels of God. Until you accept this fact and begin to seek for the Purpose for which you are here, you will either be a mediocre or an ordinary member of the society. This is because your uniqueness is in your purpose. Your joy, happiness and fulfillment is in your purpose.

Like David, you have a purpose to accomplish in your generation.

The key to understanding with clarity, that which God has made you to be is necessary to you living a life of impact. The purpose which God ordained for you is beyond being a mere clerk or member of staff. It is something greater; something which the world has never seen. Jesus described us as Salt who are to add seasoning to this world. What seasoning are you adding to the lives of people around you.

HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE

  1. Find your Passion:

Follow your passion; it will lead to your purpose

ORPRAH

Pay attention to the things you are connected to. Do not be mistaken though. Not everything that you love will turn out to be your purpose. Having a liking for a cause is different from having passion for it. Passion is deep and strong connection you feel between your soul and a cause. That which you have this connection to, is most often connected to your Purpose.

If you are having difficulty finding your Purpose, take out some time for self-reflection. Write down a list of twenty cause you love. Reduce it to the top ten you love a lot. Reduce this ten to the top three which you love a lot, until you finally have one left. That passion which is superior to every other thing in your life, follow it. It will lead you in the path of purpose.

2. Seek the Counsel of God:

Psalm 139:16: “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

Every other human method of finding purpose, though most often reliable, can turn out to lead in the wrong direction. Only God can give you a clear definition of your purpose and mission on this Earth.

One of the lovely things about God is that He will not only reveal His Purpose for you to you, He will also give you perfect understanding of that purpose, and guide you in fulfilling it.

How does God reveal ones purpose?

God revealed Jeremiah’s purpose to Jeremiah through a vision (Jeremiah 1:5). God reveals our purpose to us through dreams, visions, ideas. But sometimes, God does not reveal our purpose in entirety. He expects us to walk with Him by Faith. It is in our continuous walk with Him and obedience to His instructions that our purpose become clearer to us.

Follow Wisdom

Follow wisdom for it clears your ears,
Unchallant words gives no one an edge,
The wise speaks in parables,
For evil words can kill the feeble.

Close thy mouth!

Woe to Foolish talkers.
For thier mouth are full of death,
Live not your life to cheap talks,
For your life to experience Life.

Soil your lips not in talks that are vain,
For words spoken put people in pain,
Speak as you are lead,
So that your Destiny can be blessed.

Soil your lips with encouragement,
Fill your mouth with improvement,
Lead your clan to greatness,
Reach unto the scripture for fitness.

Let your mouth be full of truth,
Lead not your life to guilt,
Cover yourself with so many wisdom,
So that your life will not experience doom.

15 Things Believers should learn from The Military

The Bible lets us know that we are soldiers who are in a fight of faith. Our weapon is not carnal or earthly, like that of the human soldiers. Rather, they are Mighty, spiritual and effectual.

As soldiers of the Gospel, there are certain Qualities and attributes that the Kingdom expects of us.

Ignorance of these attributes can hinder our spiritual strength in the face of spiritual warfare. Some of these attributes are found in the life and operations of the human Military.

It will be wise if we look into them and imbibe them.

1. They don’t have a will. The Commander’s will is their will.

Christian Application: We should no longer seek to implement our will but the Lord’s.

2. They care less about everything else and more of the assignment to be done.

Christian Application: We should be mission minded, more concerned about the assignment to be done than anything else.

3. They rarely mingle with civilians.

Christian Application: Not to mingle with the world.

4. They do not neglect their exercises or trainings.

Christian Application: Not to neglect our daily spiritual exercises; praying, study, fasting, etc.

5. They’re strategic, never stepping into a battle without being backed by definite planning.

Christian Application: Always plan (Prov. 16:3).

6. They watch one another’s back on the battle field.

Christian Application: We should watch each other’s back in the battlefield of life, praying always for each other.
Many have been wounded cause we weren’t keeping watch.

7. They would risk their life to save others.

Christian Application: Till we’re ready to die for the world like Jesus, we’ve not begun. Only then could we go any length in God’s will to get them saved.

8. They may not live long enough but they live their best here on Earth.

Christian Application: We should care more of living best than living long. For even our Lord lived 33 and yet, He lived best!

9. Always have alternatives.

Christian Application: We should always have alternatives. If a plan we make should fail we should have another in the border of scriptures too to complement that one.

10. They’re always ready against attack and for anything.

Christian Application: We shouldn’t be ignorant of the enemy’s wiles. We should have put on always, the whole armor of God and be ready to do our biddings.

11. They Always pray before planning or stepping into a battle.

Christian Application: We shouldn’t venture into important things or anything at all without praying.
It literally paves the way!

12. They are always loyal to those above them in rank eve

Christian Application: Whether you’re older than your pastor or those God’s placed over you, respect and be loyal to them.

13. They stand always with the General whether they understand him or not!

Christian Application: Christ is our General and whether we understand Him or not, we should stand with Him and always follow Him.

14. They’re so easily motivated.

Christian Application: As David who encouraged himself in the Lord, so should we too. We shouldn’t always be waiting for someone or something out there to motivate us.
We should learn to stir motivation ourselves from within.

15. No soldier’s body is left on the field; No matter what- It must be retrieved!

Christian Application: We shouldn’t abandon our own no matter what. We should rescue them from the enemy’s camp, such as have fallen or are behind.

Franklin Graham calls for peace and calm on Inauguration Day.

Renowned crusader, evangelist and philanthropist, Franklin Graham, has called for peace from Americans even as a new political administration gets inaugrated on February 20th.

In a statement released via his Facebook Page, the Evangelist said,
“Tomorrow as our country inaugurates a new president, there are concerns that there could be violence in Washington, DC, and in state capitals across the nation. I encourage Christians to make tomorrow, January 20, a day of prayer—for peace and calm…”

He also called on Believers across the nation to make the date, a day of prayer. He admonished them to pray for the soon-to-be inaugrated POTUS and VPOTUS, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, respectively.

His statements sparked a mixed reaction from his over three million Facebook followers.

“I am not turning on my tv Wednesday. He’s certainly not my President and she’s not my Vice President” a lady commented.

‘On January 20, 2021, “Nebuchadnezzar” expects us to bow before the image he built. We politely decline’ another lady named Sheila stated.

On the 20th of January, 2020, Joe Biden will be inaugrated as the President of the United States amidst tension and violence which has gone from being political to being religious.

The Biden/Harris administration has been called by many men and women of faith, ‘The Antichrist administration’, while the outgoing Trump/Pence administration was described as the ‘Christian’ administration.

Time will tell if the great resistance of the Saints against Biden was necessary or sentimental.
