Having a Realistic Goal

There is something I’ve seen under the sun which is dreaming big without having an achievable dream. Some seem to have forgotten that greatness begins from little things that may be disregarded or trivialized.

An adage says that “drops of water makes a mighty ocean.”

This validates that big dreams start from little dreams that are achievable. I’ve seen folks who had great calling upon them as well as massive prophetic declarations.

But they began to overlook their progressive personal growth simply because they were overly focused on the big dreams they were shown through those prophecies.

They have excuses for not achieving the basic and simple things such as soul winning, intercessory prayers etc. But they are not tired of believing that they would be great someday.

Unfortunately, such a day will never come into existence if they continue in that path. The secret to greatness is in your consistency in doing the right things. Commitment is what brings you to your desired greatness.

How can you desire to be a popular revivalist tomorrow, but you are inconsistent in your prayer culture?

How can one desire to bless nations, when one has not desired the blessing of one’s immediate environment. Such persons are slothful workers but bright dreamers.

I know of young aspiring ministers, who palliate their quiescence by using the phrase, ‘I am still coming up’.

This also is wrong. Laziness does not bring anyone up. Instead, it retards one’s spiritual growth.

The truth is that you come up through the things you do habitually. Coming up or improving on yourself is something to be done daily and not something to wait for as the years pass by.

To achieve your big dreams, start by achieving the small ones that will take you there . That is how to PREPARE FOR GREATNESS.
Apostle Ele Adejoh says “anybody that desires manifestation will take preparation MORE seriously”.
You should even avoid manifestations that does not come with preparation. Such a manifestation is what premature and dangerous.

Commitment, responsibility and preparation is pivotal to Greatness. Even faith cannot bring sudden Greatness.

Look at Abraham —the father of faith. He is a great man who was accredited with righteousness by Faith, but he did not trivialize works.

James 2:21. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Vs 22. Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Vs 24. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith ONLY.

To this end, the scripture concluded thus;

“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead ALSO” James 2:26.

I know of believers who accuse the devil of thwarting their destiny and blame him for their failure in destiny fulfilment.

The truth is that such believers are the enemies of themselves, because you did not even work towards fulfilling their destiny. ‘As a believer’, no enemy is there to stop you if you consciously work towards your greatness.

Just like faith without works is dead, aspiration without preparation is dead.

Get started from achievable goals.

God bless you!

Poetry Today: The Rise of Happiness

Happiness is a therapy,
Sorrow takes you to sympathy,
Make no man lead you to pity,
Take joy to your sitting.

Deep calls unto deep,
Love is the head of our ship,
Men thinking is deep and thick,
Yet the joy of the lord is my fleet.

Usher me to the boulevards of freedom,
Lead me not to the place of weardom,
For my happiness will grow to stardom.

Make joy your daily flow,
Let your face be tush and glow,
Let happiness be your yearly goal,
Find rest in God abounding boat.

The Cries of Wisdom

Wisdom Cries

Come unto me and receive rest,
And I will help you overcome life’s greatest test.

Come into me and waste not your youth,
And I will purse devourers off your booth.

She calls to all pigmentations of men,
‘Come unto me and I will give you rest.’

‘Let me in’ she says,
‘That I may come and sup with you.’

The foolish knows not her voice,
Without her the weak becomes void

Silver and gold are at her feet,
Honour and glory are part of her gifts.

She is an anchor to kings
And she is the crown of queens.

DESTINY

The blind leading the blind,
Life calls for the inclined,
Time is the unit of destiny,
Such is Life.

Stand your ground,
Lest do not be proud,
Open your eyes wide,
For life is not a game.

Living in bad debt.
Yet death looms around for men,
And where can you find life,
Such life is in Christ.

Such is life is what they say,
We can’t do better they claim,
Yet destiny calls your name,
Frivolousness ends your race.

Say your name to grace,
Tell her about your race,
Find the path to destiny,
Never bring yourself to sympathy.

Follow Wisdom

Follow wisdom for it clears your ears,
Unchallant words gives no one an edge,
The wise speaks in parables,
For evil words can kill the feeble.

Close thy mouth!

Woe to Foolish talkers.
For thier mouth are full of death,
Live not your life to cheap talks,
For your life to experience Life.

Soil your lips not in talks that are vain,
For words spoken put people in pain,
Speak as you are lead,
So that your Destiny can be blessed.

Soil your lips with encouragement,
Fill your mouth with improvement,
Lead your clan to greatness,
Reach unto the scripture for fitness.

Let your mouth be full of truth,
Lead not your life to guilt,
Cover yourself with so many wisdom,
So that your life will not experience doom.

The Power of a Positive Mentality

More often than not the term “Mentality” is used to lay emphasis by humans on a regular basis, positivity, negativity, hopes, dreams, aspirations, beliefs and the outcome of things as it is said and believed by the larger society depends on a person’s mentality.

But the question is what really is mentality?

Mentality, according to The Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary is the attitude or way of thinking of a person or group.

Cambridge English dictionary defines mentality as a person’s particular way of thinking about things. That is to say, the entire lifestyle of a person can be traced their mentality.

Mentality being a person’s way of thinking goes similar with mindset which is a way of thinking, an attitude or opinion especially a habitual one.

The word ‘Habitual’ is very important in this context as it deals with the regular and behavioural manner of a person which has become a habit and Habit is an action performed on a regular basis.

If mentality is a person’s way of thinking and a person’s way of thinking is their mindset and their mindset is habitual, it is a clear proof that you are what you think, and a good or positive life goes in line with positive thinking while the opposite does otherwise.

Giving illustrations from the bible.

The story of the twelve spies in the book of numbers who were chosen from each of the twelve tribes of Israel by Moses to scout the land of Canaan for forty days in a quest to know their possibility of conquering the land – Numbers(13:3-20)

When they returned, ten of the spies described the people of Canaan as strong and their cities as fortified and very large, thus believing they were not as strong as the people of Canaan likewise their fortified cities. Numbers (13:25-29)

The ten spies portrayed a negative, mediocre and loser mentality.

But Caleb, who was among the twelve spies, quietened them and assured them that they could take over the land because God was with them.

He portrayed a positive and conquering mentality – Numbers 13:30.

But the other ten spies stuck to the mindset that the Canaanites were better off.

They saw themselves as grasshoppers before the Canaanites. (Numbers 13:31-33)

A person’s negative mindset can become permanently habitual if it is not adjusted quickly.

Despite the positive view of Caleb, the ten spies clung unto their negative mindset.

Joshua and Caleb, the only brave two out of the twelve spies, eventually led the conquering of the land of Canaan by being driven by a positive mindset and faith!

Another Biblical story that illustrates the power of positive/faith thinking is that of the woman with the issue of blood. – Mark 5:25-34

Scriptures tell us that she decided within her heart, saying, “If only I can touch his garment I will be made well.

For faith to work and bring expectations to reality it must be fueled by a positive mentality.

Faith with Positive Mentality is the gateway to receiving all that is expected from above.

Conclusively, the story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17 also teaches us about the power of a positive mentality.

Scriptures tell us that the Israelites shook to their bones at the sight of Goliath but David was empowered by a positive mentality and a deep rooted faith in God, and he conquered!

There cannot be the presence of strong faith without a positive Mentality.

Expectations can only come to reality where the presence of a positive mentality and faith abides.

God does not work with a negative or mediocre mind.

A negative mindset is a product of doubt. God never works with one who thinks negatively.

Change your mindset.

Change your life.

You are what you think!

Marriage in Christ

So beautiful yet our desires must be contained,
So blissful yet our tolerance is needed.

So glamorous yet we need knowledge to sustain it,
So fruitful yet we must reveal him.

So greatly adorned yet we need endurance,
So perfectly equipped yet we need forbearance.

So powerful yet we must be humble,
So creative yet we must be always be connected.

So colorful yet we must be hardworking,
So impactful yet we must be submissive.

So productive yet we must give attention,
So peaceful yet we must be patient.

So loving yet we must give resources,
So lovely yet time is needed..

Marriage is a hardwork you must give yourself to God and be fully ready to take the responsibilities for it to work perfectly.

I KNOW YOU NOT

The call of duty,
Tramples of beauty,
What was your work while you were here,
Sayeth the master,
Be gone from me for I know you not.

The Harvest is large,
But yet the labourers are few,
How many fields did you plough,
Sayeth the master,
Be gone from me I know you not.

Thou unfaithful servant,
How long will you wait,
How long will you engage your desires,
Sayeth the master,
Be gone from me, I know you not.

Thou covetous servant,
How long will you crave,
After things that wage war,
Against your very soul,
Sayeth the master,
Be gone from me I know you not.

Thou worker of inquity,
How long will you walk in darkness,
How long will you give yourself to sin,
How long will you desroy your temple,
Sayeth the master,
Be gone from me, you workers of inquity.

Thou carnal servants,
How long will you preach gold and silver,
How long will you give yourself to idols,
How will you give yourself to human craftiness,
Sayeth the master,
Be gone from me, I know you not.

He that have an ear,
Let him hear hear,
What the spirit says,
To the churches..

ABIDE

There is no greater refuge,
Except in Him,

There is no greater hope,
Unless we have him.

There is no greater future,
If we don’t behold him.

There is no greater answer,
If we don’t seek him.

There is no greater mater,
If we don’t follow him.

There is no greater educator,
If we don’t listen to him.

There is no greater savior,
If we don’t know him.

There is no greater comforter,
If we don’t understand him.

Teach me how to abide,
So that I can be immersed.

Take me to your abode,
So that I can learn your ways.

Open yourself to him,
So that I can live forever.

Abide in Christ Jesus
