DEPRESSION

Feeding your mind with so much hate,
Your life becomes lost without no taste,
Your mind wanders into dark places,
You ask yourselves why are you in pieces?

Rivers of thoughts flood your mind,
Your spirit is in despair
Wounds and scars are the reflections of your day,
You suck up your eyes and cheeks in tears and dismay,

Fix it out, dear!

Even though you’re in darkness presently,
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Give the devil no chance in your bowels
Give him no shot to explore!
Embrace Jesus today and allege your gem.

Poetry Today: We stand tall!

Wounded and broken,
But still we stand tall.
No challenge too over-bearing,
And no fear too consuming.

For each day is a battle,
One we do not always win,
But our persistence is our courage.
We fight with all that we have,
And sometimes that is not enough,
Yet still we continue in a battle
With victory seeming impossible.

Our determination and dreams of happiness
Are not only our guidance,
But also a dagger in our back,
For it is the euphoric joy and brightness
That we battle for.

With each passing loss,
The prospects of happiness begin to grow dim.
Again we continue to fight,
Disregarding the wounds of our previous battles,
Ignoring what may seem inevitable.

For every once in a while we stand,
Our heads held high, victorious at last.
It is now that we find the will-power to keep fighting,
To continue in this never ending war.

But for that brief moment of victory,
We embrace the beauty that is life and all it has to offer.

Poetry Today: Awake

Rise for your Eve has come,
Pray your day becomes plum,
Never waste a day as you comb,
A useless life will always lead to the tomb.

Awake thou sleeping giant,
Be expensive like karat of Gold,
Man know thyself as of old,
Always do as you are been told.

Awake thou who slumbers,
Take them to the plumber of life,
Teach them to be brave and right,
And take them to the life in Christ.

What then will you call yourself?
Will you sleep or stand?
Will breathe or die?
Will you fall or rise?
Will you take over or be a slave?
Awake now or forever sleep.

Poetry Today: Tragedy

Life calls unto deep,
Frail men can’t understand it,
The light shines at the end,
Darkness takes over the dead.

Teach us about life,
That when she comes,
We will be able to overcome,
For she gives birth to sorrow,
In the lives of many men.

Leave everything in the hands of God,
I have detected in the jaws of men,
She uses sorrow as a tool of destruction.

Teach us to overthrow her,
When she rises like a flood.

Poetry Today: The Rise of Happiness

Happiness is a therapy,
Sorrow takes you to sympathy,
Make no man lead you to pity,
Take joy to your sitting.

Deep calls unto deep,
Love is the head of our ship,
Men thinking is deep and thick,
Yet the joy of the lord is my fleet.

Usher me to the boulevards of freedom,
Lead me not to the place of weardom,
For my happiness will grow to stardom.

Make joy your daily flow,
Let your face be tush and glow,
Let happiness be your yearly goal,
Find rest in God abounding boat.

The Cries of Wisdom

Wisdom Cries

Come unto me and receive rest,
And I will help you overcome life’s greatest test.

Come into me and waste not your youth,
And I will purse devourers off your booth.

She calls to all pigmentations of men,
‘Come unto me and I will give you rest.’

‘Let me in’ she says,
‘That I may come and sup with you.’

The foolish knows not her voice,
Without her the weak becomes void

Silver and gold are at her feet,
Honour and glory are part of her gifts.

She is an anchor to kings
And she is the crown of queens.

DESTINY

The blind leading the blind,
Life calls for the inclined,
Time is the unit of destiny,
Such is Life.

Stand your ground,
Lest do not be proud,
Open your eyes wide,
For life is not a game.

Living in bad debt.
Yet death looms around for men,
And where can you find life,
Such life is in Christ.

Such is life is what they say,
We can’t do better they claim,
Yet destiny calls your name,
Frivolousness ends your race.

Say your name to grace,
Tell her about your race,
Find the path to destiny,
Never bring yourself to sympathy.

Believers’ Obligation to the Government

1 Peter 2:17 – “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor

Believers must come to understand that no matter how much they would love to have Christians as leaders of nations, Unbelievers will still have access to national power.

God is not an unjust judge. He gives equal opportunities to the Christian and to the sinner. There is no possiblity as having a continuous line of Christian presidents ruling a particular nation.

Understanding of this, will enable us to accept the outcome of elections even when they are contrary to what we expected or voted for.

In such a situation as this, where the agenda of those who are at the helm of political affairs in America, we are tempted to fall into despair and apathy.

Yet, the Bible admonishes us to pray for our leaders even in times like this.

It does not specify the type who of leaders we are to pray for. Hence, whether they are good or bad, we are to remember them in our prayers. Praying for the salvation of their souls, the obstruction of their evil policies and guidance to do the right things.

Our primary duty is to pray for our leaders and our country at large.

Jeremiah 29:7 – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper”

We must not become apathetic towards the issues that concerns our country’s politics and economy. The failure of believers to pray for their countries will lead to its downfall.

When we fold our hands and shut our lips towards the affairs of our nation, God will likewise shut Himself out of the affairs of this nation.

God Himself has said it, in the aforementioned text, that if we pray then our nation will prosper, and if our nation prospers, then we will prosper.

Beloved Saints, let us pray for the peace and prosperity of our respective countries.

Let us pray for the wisdom of God upon our leaders. Let us pray for the counsel of the ungodly to be destroyed.

Let us pray that God’s will be done in our nations.

Amen.

Follow Wisdom

Follow wisdom for it clears your ears,
Unchallant words gives no one an edge,
The wise speaks in parables,
For evil words can kill the feeble.

Close thy mouth!

Woe to Foolish talkers.
For thier mouth are full of death,
Live not your life to cheap talks,
For your life to experience Life.

Soil your lips not in talks that are vain,
For words spoken put people in pain,
Speak as you are lead,
So that your Destiny can be blessed.

Soil your lips with encouragement,
Fill your mouth with improvement,
Lead your clan to greatness,
Reach unto the scripture for fitness.

Let your mouth be full of truth,
Lead not your life to guilt,
Cover yourself with so many wisdom,
So that your life will not experience doom.

Poetry: Love covers All

Life connects us to men,
Deep calls unto deep,
Wounds may never heal,
Scars might not be wiped off,
But love conquers all.

Emotions indeed have suffered,
Feeling has been trashed,
Hatred looks for whom to host,
Hearts then, have been cracked,
But love conquers all.

Souls have experience torture,
Men’s love continually wax cold,
Tales of heart break fills the air,
Tales of broken trust makes the first,
But Love conquers all.

Enough tears have been shed,
Enough time has been spent,
Why wallow in depression,
Why engage in unforgiveness,
But love conquers all.

To err is human,
To forgive is divine,
To love is our design,
To shut yourself from love,
Is to put yourself to disdain,
But love conquers all.

Take your time to heal,
Take the mandate to Love again,
Experience the love of Christ today,
Make yourself available for his love,
Dress yourself beautifully to accommodate,
His wonderful love,
Because His love conquers all..
