1 Samuel 17:11 “When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.”
1 Samuel 17:37 “David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.”
1 Samuel 17:43: “And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.”
1 Samuel 17:44: “And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.”
1 Samuel 17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
1 Samuel 17:46: “This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.”
1 Samuel 17:47: “And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hands.”
I was studying Genesis 1, and the Lord began to speak to me some things about the power of words, I desire to use this post as a means to share those lessons the Lord taught me, with you.
When God was about to create this world, He spoke. He said it and it happened. Everything God sought to create, He conceived within, and birthed out through His Word.
Words are powerful. When a sorcerer desires to conjure a powerful charm or release a powerful spell, his most potent weapon is his words.
Spells are nothing more than words released with the accompaniment of a spirit t accomplish a desired task.
The spirit realm is governed by the power of the tongue and even God operates this way. God always speaks before He acts, that’s why there’s something known as Prophecy.
The Art of Speaking is something that even the Saints of old were masters of. They knew how to speak like God even in the toughest of situations.
In 1 Samuel 17, a Philistine Giant named Goliath came to trouble and intimidate Israel.
Goliath wasn’t an ordinary giant, he was a large and powerful one. He was ten feet tall, with the largest of weapons.
The size of his spear tip alone weighed fifteen pounds, his armor weigh a hundred and twenty pounds. He was intimidating in size and stature.
Day and night, he ridiculed the armies of Israel and none of them dared oppose, none but a little shepherd boy.
While everyone hid in cowardice, David walked to the center stage of all where the giant stood and challenged him.
I believe you must known the story before now, but there’s something I want to show you from that event.
When David challenged Goliath, Goliath cursed him and said to him,
1 Samuel 17:44 “Come over here, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and wild animals!”
For standing up to intimidation, Goliath promised to end David’s life. Some times, God’s people find themselves in such situation.
Intimidated by Giants; political Giants, economic Giants, academic and financial Giants, and when they chose to stand against such intimidation, they’re threatened.
When they refuse to accept such Injustice, they receive real threats to their lives and their businesses.
David faced such a threat, but instead of panicking and speaking out of fear, he spoke out of Faith.
Look at the reply of David,
1 Samuel 17:45 David shouted in reply, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord Almighty—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
1 Samuel 17:46 “Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!”
David never held any sword of matchet with him, yet, he promised to cut off Goliath’s words.
If you read further, you’ll see he did cut Goliath’s head off.
This is the power of the spoken word. When you speak out of Faith, God responds.
God responds to the re-echoing of His word.
He took Ezekiel to the valley of dry bones and commanded Ezekiel to speak, as Ezekiel spoke God’s word, the bones came back to life.
Do not talk based on circumstances, talk based on God’s word.
Don’t talk based on your fear, talk as a man of faith.
Release God’s word into your family and business everyday.
God has promised you so much in his word, it’s time to echo those promises.
Psalm 23:1: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want”
We quote this Psalm as a closing benediction, but this was the Confession of a man who had mastered the art of faith speaking.
Mat 17:20 KJV “verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Speak to that mountain facing you!
Could it be sickness? Declare that you are healed by the stripes of the Lord.
Could it be debt, declare that you’re a giver and not a borrower.
Don’t keep silent.
Don’t live in this world casually.
Before studying, speak wisdom and understanding to your mind,
Befor going for that job interview, speak favor unto it.
At first, it might seem to be a waste of time, but the more you speak with faith, the more potent your words become.
Here are some Bible promises from God to you, declare them daily
Psalms 27:2 “When evil people come to destroy me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.”
Psalms 18:2: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the rock of my salvation, and my stronghold.”
Psalms 1:3: “They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper.”
God bless you!

News Feed or God’s Feed?

One of the great qualities a of Medical doctor is that he pays absolute attention to his medical books.
Whatever he sees in the Book, he practices in the Theater, whatever he sees in the theater, he goes back to study in his books.
The same with a law student. A Law Student does not joke with his books because he knows his success is tied to the knowledge he gains and practices from them.
Do you know that Christianity is far greater than these professions. Paul referred to Christianity as a ‘high calling’.
It is being called out of the world to have a relationship with God. Everything you ever need to succeed as a Christian is in a Book.
That book is called the Bible. The Bible is God’s manual to us on how to succeed even in the midst of darkness and enemies. It is one of the commonest, yet, neglected books.
Take a stroll within your church hall after the Sunday service and you’ll observe several Bibles littered on the ground, neglected by their owners. This shows the value that they place on their Bible.
The Bible is God’s letter to Believers. The Epistles of Paul, Peter and the Apostles are not really their Epistles, they’re simply the Epistles of God written to His Church through those men.
Neglecting your Bible is the same as neglecting the voice of God. This is because the Bible came as a result of God speaking to men.
God said to Joshua, ‘…. Ye shall meditate therein day and night, for it, thou shalt obtain good success’
God was telling Joshua, if you want to be successful, meditate on my word, that is the textbook for success in this Kingdom.
In turbulent times like this, the media is throwing poisonous diets to us through their news. They’re ever reporting news of death, tragedies going on around the world.
If you’re not careful, these things can cause weeds to grow within you and choke up your faith. Instead of giving yourself to negative news, why not give yourself to God’s own News.
Hallelujah!
The Media calls theirs, News Feed,
Well, after getting their News Feed, make sure you flush it out of your system and take in God’s own News Feed, the Bible. Every day with the Bible offers new information, new Instruction, new insight that has never been seen before.
Update your spirit with God’s Word. Hold onto it. Let God’s word become more real to you than even your situation.
Everything you’re going through has already been spoken about through His Word, it’s left for you to search it out and believe in it.
Act 27:25: “(Paul speaking) Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.”
Paul was in a ship being taken on a journey. But on the way to their destination, a severe storm began. It was thunderous and frightening.
The men in the ship with Paul began to panic. From the look of things, they were going to lose both their properties and their lives. But at night, the Angel of the Lord appeared to Paul and gave Him a Word from the Lord saying, ‘Neither you nor the men with you shall lose their lives’.
This is a tough season for many, we’ve never had deaths like this in history. Here in Nigeria, death is becoming like a trend. In the US, Covid deaths keep getting higher. This is like a storm; a storm so frightening, that it seems we might all be destroyed in it.
You might have lost a loved one to it, and you’re wondering whether you’re next, do not be afraid. God has said in His word that He will shield you from the arrows that flies by day and the plagues at night (Psalm 91).
Like Paul, declare, ‘It shall be even as I was told’.
Believe that this situation shall end up as God promised in His Word.
In all, get addicted to God’s word, feed on God’s promises, hold onto them as an anchor, and in time, you’ll pass through this storm Hale, hearty and more stronger than ever.
God Bless You!
If you were blessed by this, please give it a like, retweet and drop a comment, I’ll reply right away 😊🙏🙏
TOO BUSY TO SERVE GOD?
If you claim to be too busy to live for and serve God like the early church because of how your city is, remember that Jesus did not die for only the early church. He died and rose for all men everywhere in every age until He returns. There is no special Holy Spirit in Acts of the Apostles. It is the same God, the same faith, the same baptism, the same commission, the same gospel.
Don’t be deceived, Rome was far busier and more secular than New York or Tokyo or Lagos. There were no phones or airplanes or even air conditioners then. It was probably harder to be a Christian. It will always be hard to be a Christian; hard for the flesh and hard in this world. The distractions may be more today, but the argument may be made that it is easier today than it has ever been to serve God. You have a Bible on your phone! Wow! People died to get copies of these things to us.
And know this: in this same Abuja, this same London, this same Boston, this same Montreal, this same Johannesburg – you have Acts of the Apostles believers and churches. People like you- business people, educated people, busy people who are living for the King and ready to die for Him; who pray like their hearts will break, who give like there is no tomorrow, who fast like a bride on her wedding morning- with great joy, who cast our demons, who speak with new tongues, who love nothing in this world though they have so much, and who fear no one though they serve and work with many people; whose eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord; right here in this 21st century.
Drop the excuses therefore; Jesus is available for the taking. He is here for as many as will receive Him. The Bread of Life. The Word of God. The Prince of Peace. The Redeemer. The Saviour. The Author of salvation and the Perfecter of all those who come to God by Him. He is here calling for you to be with Him – the One who will remain long after this world has been judged and has passed away; to know Him and live for the eternal gain during your extremely short period on this terrestrial plane.
Many great cities have come and gone. Babel. Egypt. Assyria. Babylon. Athens. Rome. But He is forever. To see the ultimate will deliver you from the burden of the immediate. He is beckoning on you to lift up your eyes from the distractions of Lagos that you may behold the glories of the everlasting Logos.

THE MARTYRS
The Prison cell was a dark place, full of bugs and beetles and served as a haven for swarms of insects. It sat beneath the Castle, in the most hidden of apartments, all to ensure an escape was impossible.
It was in this cell that Polycarp and his family were held imprisoned. Polycarp’s hands and legs were chained, with cuffs draped with thorns. They caused his hands and legs to bleed, adding to the pains he had been in for days due to severe lashing from the soldiers.
His family, both blood and spiritual, sat down, in agony and pain as well, their lips silent, but their spirits, groaning and releasing cries to the Heavens. They were equally chained in like manner as Polycarp.
Their heads hung low, bowed in despair. They knew their fate; soon, they would have to chose between living for the world and dying for Christ; between rejecting Christ and defending His Gospel; they would have to chose between life and death.
But this was the fallen man’s view of their predicament. As they sat with heads bowed low, Polycarp raised a slow hymn, his voice was laden with anguish, making him sing the song slower than it was normally sung;
‘O blest communion, fellowship divine!
We feebly struggle, saints in glory shine
All are one in Thee, for all are Thine’
The Family responded, “Alleluia, Alleluia!”
Polycarp continued,
‘O may thy soldiers, faithful, true and bold,
Fight as the saints who nobly fought of old,
And win with them the victor’s crown of gold.’
The Family responded, “Alleluia, Alleluia”
‘The Golden evening brightens in the west;
Soon, soon to faithful warriors comes their rest;
Sweet is the calm of paradise the blessed.’
Response: Alleluia, Alleluia.
The hymn progressed, from being sung with low, sorrowful tones, to being sung with hope and joy. As they sang, bright, large, and glorious creatures with wings of glory descended into the prison yard. They weren’t there to liberate them from the cell, they were there to liberate the Saints from the terrors of the cell.
Their Presence, although unseen, was strongly felt across the cell. Strength flowed into the hearts of The Family; peace beyond understanding descended into their spirits, upholding them and guarding it against despair.
They sang the hymn, like a tourist walking through a beautiful garden, then they got to the final stanza, the verse that set their faces aglow with joy, even in the shadows of death.
‘But lo! There breaks a yet more glorious day;
The Saints triumphant rise in bright array;
The King of Glory passes on His way.’
They responded with a shout, “ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA!!!”
Just then, numerous guards of The Empire marched into the cell. It was time! The Elect exchanged glances amongst themselves, and with a nod of resignation, they stood up, walking towards the arena, as they were led by the Guards.
“All Hail King Jesus!” they exclaimed in the middle of the arena, their voice echoing around the arena.
“I gave you a choice between life and death, yet, you chose death” The Emperor said to them, with pride in his voice.
Polycarp looked at him with boldness, “Your highness, to you, we chose death, that’s because your knowledge of life and death is fallen. The path we have chosen is the path to eternal life and everlasting glory!” he declared unto the Emperor.
The Family cheered with happiness. The Emperor smirked, he was enjoying this game. He ordered for the Lions to be released.
“I’ll see you in heaven” Polycarp said to The Family.
They all smiled at one another, they would surely meet in Heaven, where there will be no sorrow, or pain, or tears; no crying; just joy, life eternal, glory and communion with The Father.
As they fell to the strength of the Lions, Angels, Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, all stood in respect, lifting their spirits off their bodies, and leading them unto the place where they would weep no more.

Found in Hades

Undertakers open my mother’s coffin, everyone screamed in misery. But I was happy, seeing that finally, my mother could rest in perfect peace — and not stay up all night waiting for my father to come back from the beer parlour, with him smelling like different women and cigar.
While everyone wailed and cried, “Sarah, why did you leave us!” I stood there, rigid, and unsure how to react.
Do I commend the doctors for ensuring that she had her hand on her tummy like when she took pictures; that her golden dreadlocks rested on her shoulders, or that she wore a wedding gown?
It was symbolic anyway. The day she wore that dress, when she walked down that aisle, was the beginning of her death.
The priest gave a breezy sermon, my mind fazed through reality, ignoring sweaty bodies and sniffing noses. Focusing more on the scorching sun, and the buzzing flies.
I felt my crotch itch, I couldn’t scratch it.
Her coffin was closed, finally, I said my last goodbye with a glance at her face.
Her golden locks never looked so bright.
We must have dampened her shine.
Dust to dust. Take the shovel and sprinkle her cross. Thirteen years ago, I threw sand on my mother’s body when we went to the beach. She laughed. Wondered why she wasn’t smiling this time.
“Kess, you have to cry.” My uncle said, whispering into my ear. I hated anyone touching me. I hated people coming that close.
We left the burial site immediately after the last shovel of sand went in. The longest trip of my life, I wondered if we could roll the credits already.
That this was a movie, and I was the star actor, and this was the first part of my series, leading my character development to the part where I would awaken Hades to give a life to get back the life of my mother.
“Kess, do you want to eat?”
Even the fan knew it lost its buyer today. Placed on number 5 but it still slowed down.
“No, I’m not hungry,” I said to the person that came to check up on me. I laid on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Wanted to get out of the house but it was filled with people my mother didn’t like, saying nice things they didn’t mean, bringing food we didn’t need.
Going would mean pity faces, irritating touches, and automated “Take heart dears.”
So I laid on my bed, avoiding the world.
“I made Beans, you sure you don’t want to eat some, Baba?”
“No, thanks, I’m really okay.”
Turned to the other side of the bed.
“You didn’t cry today, why was that?”
I heard the sound of the door closing. This person must be a distant relative or family friend that didn’t know me personally. Because if she did, she would have known that I hated my doors closed.
Probably was sent by my dad to talk to me. Wrong move.
“Kess? Are you already sleeping?”
“I don’t have the power to talk.” I said, still lying on my side, with my back facing the person and the door.
“But you just said seven words.”
So practical.
“I did, but there were necessary.”
“So does what I want to know.”
“Please. I don’t want to go on a rampage. Can you leave my room?”
“Oh, but you do deserve to go on a rampage, Baba, just spill it all on me.”
I turned to face this person.
Some nerve she must have to talk to me like she knew about what I felt or who my mother was.
My body froze on the spot, I couldn’t decode what was happening.
Nobody was there.
“Baba, you should cry.”
“W-who are you?” I stuttered.
Probably the last person I thought would talk to me.
“Mom?”
“Yes Baba.” for some reason, I was relaxed. I sat back on my bed and took my former position, staring at the ceiling.
“Why mom, why did you die?”
Silence.
Then.
“I have a present for you.”
“What is it?”
“It’s Outside. I want to see you one last time.”
Quickly, I got out of bed and started for the door.
“Wait!” she said.
“Go to the window.”
I went over the window, opened it completely, and stared five storeys down.
“Why, mom?”
“You know I love you, right, Baba?”
“Yes, I do.”
“So, I want you to go outside through this window. To see me.”
There was an exciting heat in my chest. To think that the way to see my mom has been staring at me all these while.
I quickly went to the second room, where my little brother, Jamal, laid asleep. I picked him up and ran back to my room.
“JamJam, we are going to see mommy.”
I whispered in his ear.
I struggled to get out of the window through a slip. Jamal and I, floating through the air. Could feel the wind again my body, carrying me and my little brother, to meet our lovely mother.
Suddenly, the journey ended. Did the gate not open? The screams were deafening. Where were they coming from?
I could hear someone say, “Blood of Jesus!”
Where was it?
I brought my hands to my line of vision and found my fingers broken. With blood painted on them.
The pain sneaked through my spine, entered my brain, and shut down all my systems. My eyes died out. The last sense left was my ears, I heard running and crying and echoes before they stopped working.
Blank.
Then.
Light.
My mother’s face. Smiling with her eyes closed. Hands opened wide.
“Baba.” she said.
“Mom.”
She opened her eyes, black and red.
Blood ran from her eyes, down her cheeks, and stained her white robe.
It started to spread till everything turned to red.
Two horns shot out of her head.
Her teeth shot out fangs.
“Welcome, to Hades.”
#Ministry Matters___ Doing Ministry with Your Unique Pattern

(For Preachers and Teachers Of The Word)
By Pastor Bimbo Animashaun
One of the greatest challenges you will ever face in ministry is meeting people or facing situations that tend to put pressure on you to change your God-given pattern in ministry.
As a minister, you must settle certain things in your heart early in ministry and one of them is to know that you’re called to please God and not to please men or play to the gallery.
Not everyone will understand you in ministry, and sometimes you will also see senior ministers who don’t flow with your pattern or style of ministry.
At this level, some young ministers bag down and begin to adapt to new modes that don’t really suit their calling, and they know that fact deep inside their spirits.
It will help you to know that not everyone will accept your ministry and not everyone will like your pattern and style – it has been like that from ages past.
And may I say very pointedly, emphatically and categorically that most of the criticisms will come from fellow ministers who don’t understand the peculiarity of your calling and who feel that their own ministry pattern is the only one validated by Scriptures.
For the avoidance of doubt, ALL OF US FOLLOW CHRIST AS OUR ULTIMATE PATTERN AND CHRIST IS OUR ULTIMATE MODEL AND EXAMPLE IN MINISTRY.
I understand that perfectly by God’s Grace. I also know that “apostolic doctrine” is the standard of the Church in all ages and across all generational layers – Acts 2:42, Eph.2:20.
But think about this; Christ is All shades of brilliance and various dimensions of manifestations and we see this running through like a thread in the New Testament.
For instance, the Word makes it abundantly clear that Christ is not divided – 1 Cor.1:13, Eph.4:5 but we realize that there are five ministry gifts, namely apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers which represent different dimensions of Christ relative to ministry – Eph.4:11.
DIVERSITY therefore is not equal to DIVISION, and even in each ministry office, we still have various dimensions of different proportions as administered by the Holy Spirit.
Christ is both THE LION and THE LAMB – Rev.5:5-6. And He’s both THE POWER and THE WISDOM of God – 1 Cor.1:24.
Preaching Christ therefore extends into bringing all His dimensions to the fore as they are built on the foundation of His finished works.
Having said that, it’s important to stick to your ministry pattern and grow in it and let God by His divine sovereignty take you from one phase of your assignment to another.
PATTERN in the context of Scriptures would mean:
(1) Christ.
(2) The divine template of your ministry.
(3) The people that God has set before you to follow.
I have dealt with point number one. On point number two, there’s always a template for your ministry.
We see this in the ministry of Moses and it’s also attested to by New Testament writings:
HEBREWS 8:5
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the PATTERN shewed to thee in the mount.
God showed Moses THE PATTERN of the tabernacle on the mountain, and He asked him to build in line with it.
The pattern of your ministry is therefore defined in the presence of God as you wait upon Him to know His mind. Several other examples abound in Scriptures.
Noah was instructed to make an ark of “a gopher wood” – Gen.6:14, not some other kind of wood. You see beloved, GOD IS A GOD OF DETAILS!
And then there are people ahead of you who represent the pattern of your ministry and sometimes they represent different parts of the jigsaw of God’s plan for your life.
John the Baptist had a pattern in Elijah – Lk.1:17. Time after time in the New Testament, we’re admonished to follow those ahead of us – 1 Cor.11:1, Heb.13:7, 17.
This is where you will need to stand your ground. There are ministers that God by His divine prerogative has ordained that you follow because they represent a part of the pattern that God has given to you in ministry.
Somehow somehow, something clicks in your heart when you listen to them. Something is stirred in your spirit when they speak.
Something is activated in your calling when you interface with them through their books, tapes, materials, at a meeting or one-on-one.
Now don’t ever play it down. It may not appeal to any other person but you have a spiritual connection with them.
I know fathers whose graces activate mine. I know what each person I follow represents in my calling and I don’t misplace them for each other.
For instance, each time I listen to Dad Hagin or read any of his materials, apart from getting blessed generally (which any other person can experience), something is activated in my calling.
I know what I’m talking about. There are other fathers in my life like that. Dad Hagin for instance represents my pattern in the teaching ministry.
So it will be a “self-inflicted error” on my part to treat his materials like any other minister.
By God’s Grace, I also have patterns in the apostolic, in the prophetic, in fathering, in the miraculous, in mass media, etc. and I’m not confused about that at all.
You just need to understand yourself in the light of the call of God upon your life.
If you have a pattern in a father like Dr. D. K. Olukoya and that’s how the anointing flows in your life, but because you want to feel among or because you want to appear “tush”, you start preaching like Joel Osteen, my Brother, I shake my head for you.
May God help you. You see, you don’t have to be ashamed of your calling and pattern; you did not call yourself and you did not anoint yourself. It therefore makes no difference what anybody says about you.
If you’re not radical, you can’t fulfill destiny. If you have a pattern in great men like Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola and as you’re ministering, all those rich and deep CAC songs are flowing in your spirit, but you want to suppress the flow and you’re singing Don Moen’s songs, I pity you REALLY.
I believe my point is clear Sirs and Mas? If you’re not dead to self and ego, you can’t do ministry.
You will operate in some dimensions and fellow ministers will tell you that you’re not deep. Tell them to go and tell God that you’re not deep. That’s not your palaver!
Sometimes you operate in some dimensions of ministry and people begin to call you “Pastorpreneur”. What do you do? Just keep preaching Beloved.
One thing you will notice about most fathers in the Body of Christ is that they don’t care what people say about them.
People have knocked MFM for their style over the years, but the more they knock them, the more great things happen and the more the ministry is growing and expanding.
You may not like their style of prayer. Instead of getting offended, find the one that suits your spirit.
How will you ever explain someone scratching his head and cockroaches are falling down? We had better wake up friends!
As a young minister, you want to tell Bishop David Oyedepo that there’s nothing like “demonic oppression” and that it’s just a figment of imagination. You will not finish your ministry without starting o.
You want to tell Dr. Uma Ukpai that we have to pray for witches and wizards because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts. Abeg you had better follow your own pattern.
I have seen few things in the Body by God’s Grace. And I believe that there’s a burden in the heart of the Holy Spirit in this hour.
You can’t change people by attacking what they believe. And you can’t also change the pattern of people’s ministry by public criticisms, especially when such patterns do not compromise the moral standard of Scriptures.
You may not like prayers like, “Every demonic agent. What are you waiting for? Die by fire” but you not liking it has not made any difference.
That’s not my flow, but I bless God for what others are doing for the Kingdom.
Trying to focus your entire message on that in ministry in a critical manner as a young minister will waste the productive part of your years in ministry.
Sometimes when I teach, some people will say, “You teach like Hagin” and some people may think that I’m forming. You see, it makes no difference.
It’s between me and the Lord. You’re strong when you stay where God has called you and you grow there despite human pressure or misunderstanding.
Benny Hinn said he almost lost his ministry trying to internalize Kenyon’s teachings and pattern.
E. W. Kenyon was a great teacher (no doubt) but that’s not just Benny Hinn’s pattern. He has his pattern in ministers like Kathryn Kuhlman, Oral Roberts, etc.
I have all of Kenyon’s books in my library plus many books of Dad Hagin and several other ministers because my ministerial leaning is towards the Word Of Faith Movement and I’m not ashamed of it.
The following points should be noted on ministerial patterns:
(1) God determines your pattern of ministry.
(2) Your pattern of ministry is defined in the place of waiting upon the Lord.
(3) There’ll always be pressure and temptation to change your pattern of ministry.
(4) Not everybody will flow with or accept your pattern of ministry, including ministers of the Gospel.
(5) There’ll always be people who like your pattern and flow with it – don’t toy with them.
(6) Changing your pattern of ministry amounts to calling God’s wisdom to question in your life.
(7) Christ is our ultimate Pattern.
(8) God always sets men before you to follow in ministry.
(9) No pattern of ministry is superior to the revelation of God’s Word.
(10) You must keep growing in the knowledge of Christ as you seek to execute God’s mandate upon your life in line with His divine pattern.
In it all, CHRIST IS OUR ULTIMATE PATTERN, and we must never forget that we CAN NEVER change people by criticizing their ministerial patterns.
All ministers cannot adopt the same pattern in ministry. We all represent different dimensions of Grace.
Stay with yours; grow daily in the knowledge of Christ as you seek to build your ministry on the eternal foundation of God’s infallible Word as witnessed to by God’s holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
Trust this is a blessing Sirs and Mas?
Spring time is here!
Shalom!!!

A Short Admonition on Loving Jesus

Many people think that Christianity is all about escaping hell. The purpose of God in redemption was not to produce escapees from hell, it was to produce lovers of Jesus Christ; a people who have seen Jesus
Christ as the pearl of great price and give up all else to have him. God is seeking lovers of Jesus Christ, not escapees from hell. God’s purpose was to produce a people who seek Him, know Him, love Him and serve Him as the overflow of their love for Him. God is seeking lovers of Christ, worshippers of Christ, devotees of Christ, people totally caught up with the person of Christ
Zacharias Tanee Fomum
This is a Cameroonian saint gone to be with the Lord, that God used and still uses to train others in what it means to learn Christ of whom it is testified that when he came to a church here in the southwest to preach Jesus a few decades ago, everyone in the meeting broke down in tears and wept, some rolling on the floor; with the pastor himself taking trips to the restroom not to use it for anything other than to weep freely before returning to the meeting.
And what was the theme and constant question of the message?
“DO YOU LOVE JESUS?”
The truth is that you may jump and shout when Christ is preached and run around as well. That is great because there is a height and a length and a breadth to the dimension of God’s love expressed in Him
But if you have never been transfixed on your seat for hours by this love, in deep silence of soul, or fallen off that seat in deep contemplation and poignant near-anguish for a life unworthy of this love
That message of love you have been listening to,
Is lacking in DEPTH.

Practicals on Praying at Night
The idea of praying through the night can seem daunting to some people.
It makes sense.
The world is dark, everything is closed, and most people are sleeping—except for the few night owls who should have been sleeping hours ago messaging you about not being able to sleep or work they’re doing.
Just the mention of praying in the overnight hours garners various responses, many of which are laced with disbelief, traces of shock, and often are accompanied with confused expression.
“Oh, I could never do that.”
“I can’t stay up that late.”
“I worked nights once—it was horrible.”
It’s understandable. Even the disciples had trouble staying awake to pray.
And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”
He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:37–41)
A key component of night-and-day prayer is prayer that continues throughout the night hours. However, ever more significant than the time of day prayer is taking place is the reason why prayer is taking place and what it will yield. As we continue to bring our petitions before His throne, our generous Father reveals His desire to partner with us and bring about His goodness and answers to injustice in our present day. The act of praying at night is also a principle referred to in Luke 18, primarily linked to the Lord’s corrective response to injustice.
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”
Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:1–8)
Although praying at night is a key component of night-and-day prayer, it really is less about when prayer is happening and more about what is taking place and why.
As prayer continues, we get to enter the reality of the Lord’s Prayer, seeing God’s will being done and His Kingdom coming, advancing, on the earth (Matthew 6:10).
This is what Jesus displayed, not just with His outward actions before men, but His times alone in prayer. Prayer during the night hours is noted throughout Scripture.
It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God. (Luke 6:12)
At midnight I shall rise to give thanks to You Because of Your righteous ordinances.(Psalm 119:62)
But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. (Acts 16:25)
Although praying at night may sound like it would be a challenge—and sometimes can be—there are simple steps to help make it easier to stay awake and alert throughout the night.
Take Care of Your Body
Although we often think of prayer as an activity connected to the spiritual part of our being, what’s happening with our bodies can also have an affect on our times of prayer and what we think about these hours we invest in praying at night. Consider these three points and apply them to the idea of praying during the night.
1. Get Enough Sleep
This may seem counterintuitive, but contrary to popular belief, successfully praying through the night actually requires sleep. This is not an exercise in denying yourself rest, but in the discipline of self control as you modify your schedule to sleep at specified times so you’re better able to stay awake and pray throughout the night. If your time of praying at night is extended for a season and requires a complete schedule change, then getting the right amount of sleep for your body becomes a priority in order to maintain a consistent and healthy sleep schedule that works with your circadian rhythm.
2. Fuel Your Body
The human body doesn’t function that well without proper fuel. Unless there’s a specified time of fasting from food, it’s best to follow a balanced meal plan that allows for your body to receive necessary vitamins and nutrients, including fruits and vegetables. Caffeine and sugar may provide a temporary boost, but ultimately are only momentary distractions from our body’s need for balance.
3. Exercise
As a principle, the Lord made our bodies to feel better and function better when we get enough physical activity. Whether it’s our usual time spent in the garden or going for a jog or a walk, actually putting our bodies in motion helps with the overall rhythm of our sleep and alertness. Physical activity also has a substantial impact on our mood and outlook in life.
Get Your Mind Right
Even when all the physical factors of praying at night are working in your favor, it can still be a challenge to find a good routine if your perspective is off.
1. Watch Your Thoughts
When we start to magnify the difficulties, even our mental grumbling and complaining can undermine the current progress we’ve achieved in adjusting to the physical demands of a different schedule. If the constant meditation is focused on what you’re missing by changing your schedule to accommodate prayer at night, or what you’ve given up to make prayer a normal part of your routine, these may make praying at night a short-term experience.
2. Maintain Your Focus
During the time of actual prayer, having an outline of how you will utilize your designated time can be helpful. It could be a list of prayer requests from family members and friends or specific passages of Scripture that you desire to pray over friends, coworkers, people groups, or your own emotions. Actually having a technique for praying, such as pray-reading the Word, can help sustain prayer for longer periods of time, producing a dialogue with the Lord.
3. Let the Lord Judge
It’s normal to start something with an idea of how it should look or what needs to happen. And it’s good to have goals, as long as they’re realistic and you’ve given your body time to adjust. But when there are moments in which your goals aren’t being achieved, you’ve dozed off again, and your body feels tired, instead of condemning yourself or giving into accusation that praying at night is impossible, futile, or worthless, remember to let the Lord judge how He thinks you’re doing. Seek His thoughts to find out what He speaks over your time of prayer before Him.
Whether you feel called to pray at night or just have the desire and the ability to spend hours at night praying, responding to the opportunity to pray when many around you are sleeping is a response the Lord see and appreciates.
As members of the body engage in the reality of Luke 18, we partner with what the Lord is doing in the earth at this time, praying His desires into the lives of those around us—whether we’re asking our good Father for healing, petitioning Jesus for salvation of entire people groups, or inviting the Comforter to sustain hurting people in the midst of violence and turmoil or to bring restoration of broken relationships.
Almighty God is powerful and wise enough to resolve all societal problems and turmoil simply, without hesitation. He has chosen to bring resolution by answering the prayers of His children in this span of time before His Son returns to rule as King of the earth.
In this exchange, we learn how His Kingdom works, how He rules, and what we can give to see His will accomplished in this day.
As we ask, seek, and knock in the nights, we are inviting the God of all the earth to invade the dark places in the lives of friends, family members, cities, people groups, and governments.
We are agreeing with Jesus.
“Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
