There is something I’ve seen under the sun which is dreaming big without having an achievable dream. Some seem to have forgotten that greatness begins from little things that may be disregarded or trivialized.
An adage says that “drops of water makes a mighty ocean.”
This validates that big dreams start from little dreams that are achievable. I’ve seen folks who had great calling upon them as well as massive prophetic declarations.
But they began to overlook their progressive personal growth simply because they were overly focused on the big dreams they were shown through those prophecies.
They have excuses for not achieving the basic and simple things such as soul winning, intercessory prayers etc. But they are not tired of believing that they would be great someday.
Unfortunately, such a day will never come into existence if they continue in that path. The secret to greatness is in your consistency in doing the right things. Commitment is what brings you to your desired greatness.
How can you desire to be a popular revivalist tomorrow, but you are inconsistent in your prayer culture?
How can one desire to bless nations, when one has not desired the blessing of one’s immediate environment. Such persons are slothful workers but bright dreamers.
I know of young aspiring ministers, who palliate their quiescence by using the phrase, ‘I am still coming up’.
This also is wrong. Laziness does not bring anyone up. Instead, it retards one’s spiritual growth.
The truth is that you come up through the things you do habitually. Coming up or improving on yourself is something to be done daily and not something to wait for as the years pass by.
To achieve your big dreams, start by achieving the small ones that will take you there . That is how to PREPARE FOR GREATNESS.
Apostle Ele Adejoh says “anybody that desires manifestation will take preparation MORE seriously”.
You should even avoid manifestations that does not come with preparation. Such a manifestation is what premature and dangerous.
Commitment, responsibility and preparation is pivotal to Greatness. Even faith cannot bring sudden Greatness.
Look at Abraham —the father of faith. He is a great man who was accredited with righteousness by Faith, but he did not trivialize works.
James 2:21. Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
Vs 22. Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Vs 24. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith ONLY.
To this end, the scripture concluded thus;
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead ALSO” James 2:26.
I know of believers who accuse the devil of thwarting their destiny and blame him for their failure in destiny fulfilment.
The truth is that such believers are the enemies of themselves, because you did not even work towards fulfilling their destiny. ‘As a believer’, no enemy is there to stop you if you consciously work towards your greatness.
Just like faith without works is dead, aspiration without preparation is dead.
Get started from achievable goals.
God bless you!
